I had a $5.60 cold cut sandwich under the guise of a "Poor Boy." An assembly of cold, greasy lunch meat and sweaty cheese on a barely warm bun. The service was fine and all, the waitress kept my drink full, not like it was busy in there. The tea was great by the way, Ill grant them that. But when I think Poor Boy, I think delicious, hot sandwich with melty cheese and savory meats. And when I see "$5.60" next to it, I think, "Wow, that must be a really good Poor Boy for that price." Not $0.35 worth of generic brand bologna and salami, pre sliced, like youd buy in a grocery store. The sandwich actually became a burden to eat. And I really hate wasting food, so I try to finish whats on my plate no matter what. But this, I just couldnt. I brought it home to see if maybe the cat would be interested. Not a nibble. In short, unless youre real thirsty and you just want some tea? Dont go to Oplympic Family Restaurant.

I really love the people here. This is one of the most well run diners Ive ever visited. I believe its owned and operated by a Greek family who have other Olympic eateries in the area and in Virginia. The place is well light, nice booths and tables, service is the best. I love stopping through the drive through take out window. I have never had a bad meal or bad service. They even remember my name and what I like. Its truly a little gem in a land where there are very few options to eat. I wish some of these places would go organic and offer better quality beef and eggs, but I understand its all about value and price at this level. People wont pay for quality at this level and they dont understand the difference, which is fine. So this place serves them what they can afford, and thats all anyone can ask of them. No gluten-free options though, so if youre gluten-free, order a salad or find another place to go.

Great food, great service and very clean. The seafood is really good. Fresh fries and cole slaw. In house tarter sauce with clean containers on your table. Great breakfast too....... For all you local folks reading this dont pay attention to the few "not good" reviews. Did you notice they are always from so out of town person.... LOL.... Its a family resturant, not Ruths Chris Steakhouse you dummy. Do us a favor, stay on I-40 and keep driving. I highly recommend this frendly and clean place to anyone.

School lunch room food is the best way I can describe this. I got the marinated chicken, which wasnt bad, corn and mashed potatoes. I was a little taken aback by the fact they use instant mashed potatoes. I havent been to any restaurants that serve that, especially one that is a "family" restaurant. I expected home cooking and ,at best, got a canned and boxed meal.

Went there more than once and it was fair. The last time I was there I was served raw chicken. The waitress was polite about it and took it off my bill. Although I all had ate some of it and did not want anything more. BUT the manager was extremely rude and acted as tho it was my fault for not telling them to cook it more. RAW CHICKEN!

I went to Olympic Resturant in Colfax on Sat. May 3rd. While the waitress was filling our coffee cups the pot broke and spilled the entire very hot contents on me............I have burns as a result.........NOone at the resturaant even appoliqized. Honestly, worse restaurant I have tried in the area. Very greasy, tried the pasta carbonate which was just aweful, rest we have tried does not taste much better. They should give less quantity and work on quality. The only healthy thing in that place are the waitress, very freindly. Avoid at all cost.

Olympic serves good down-home cooking for a small price tag. You wont find 5 star Michelin dining here but you will receive great service, hot and tasty food from burgers and fish to fresh veggies and sumptuous desserts. Can be a little greasy but tastes great regardless.

Went there with for lunch with a large party from work. Service was great and almost everybody said the food they ordered was good. However, I ordered a cheeseburger and was disappointed. Beef patty was small and dry. I would recommend the restaurant, but not the burger.

The lasagna and spaghetti is the best Ive ever eaten. The sauce is second to none. Im from out of town but visit frequently and have been here four times to the restaurant and I want to try other stuff but the spaghetti and lasagna are so good I cant pry myself from it.

I ordered a Western Omelet, including hash browns and toast. The has browns were enough for two people. It was a good omelet. Coffee was a little weak, but it is a very nice down to earth eatery with down to earth prices. I will definitely go there again.

Terrible place, chicken under cooked when we told them about it, the owner didnt even get involved he let the younger high school students tell us no refunds sorry we cant do anything. Never again and will tell everyone we know to never go

Its ok...if you like iceberg lettuce and pre -frozen fried squash...FYI their grilled flounder is NOT grilled...it is breaded and fried...for good Greek food you need to go to crown point restaurant in Matthews...they have REAL Greek

I went yesterday and got the Chicken pot pie. The crust was stale, the side dishes (broccoli and cheese and masted potatoes) did not have seasoning. The cornbread was not bad though. Probably wont go back.

Had the perch for lunch. Okay but not great, the cocktail sauce wasnt good. Fish had a strong fish smell when she brought it to the table. I will come back and try something else next week.
