As a native NY er who has been in NC for 4 years , I was told this place was "THE BEST " . I was told they even sold " Boars Head " cold cuts . I figured I would stop in one day . As an ex - bagel worker and Deli man myself , I was interested in checkin it out ". Besides, me believing the prices were a little excessive , I ordered 2 Roast beef on 2 bagels. I never saw any notation of Boars Head being sold there , which is when I should have just walked out !! I would not do that, as I was not taught to be a penis . Anyway, my counter man opens a drawer and starts taking out the Roast Beast from a plastic wrap . Anyway, I purchased them and needless to say , the meat was edible ( may have been horse meat for all I know ) but was surely not Boars head. My wife, would not even touch hers !! Bagel quality seemed fair, nothing tremendous !! The attitude(s) of clerks did not bother me , as I am from NY Queens ,so I understand the mentality . I can see why others may feel offended, but hey: " get over it " Its NY culture !! Just as happy w/ my bagels from BJs . People down here have no clue what a real bagel is, so their mentality is " these are great !! Good for them !! If, they know what a good bagel is, then ask them what a " bialy " is !! lol This happened probably within the past year !!

Will not go back to this place. Guys, running the cash register, attitude was horrible and set a bad tone for first thing in the morning. This morning a friend wanted a bagel for breakfast. Having frequented this place when I worked in this part of town, I brought him over here. When I order my toasted onion bagel, I said sour cream instead of cream cheese, and the guy at the cash register said we don’t have sour cream. Realizing what I said, I corrected myself and said cream cheese. My friend got his order. I waited and waited. Five other people got theirs. I asked the guy if he had a toasted onion bagel with cream cheese. The guy at the cash register asked me if I had ordered one. I told him I thought I had. The guy at the cash register then told me if I wanted to order something I needed to go to the back of the line to order. When he saw I was leaving with my friend who had gotten his order and not getting back in line, someone offered to take my order. So if you want to be treated like a piece of crap first thing in the morning, I recommend this place. Maybe the guy at the register should let the guys taking the orders do their jobs without interrupting the process. While the bagels are good, customer service will win out every time.

Today I gave this place a second chance and it will be my last! The service here is terrible! Last time they skipped over myself and my coworker and then forgot to add in half of my coworkers order. I came here because they deliver daily to my job. Today I decided that I wanted to give them another try because their bagels remind me of home. I asked the lady what was in their chicken salad and she made me feel like an idiot. She sarcastically said "chicken and salad" I asked if there were any additives and she said "no, just chicken and mayo" so I ordered on an everything bagel. I asked for lettuce, provolone cheese and a pickle. I got brown lettuce with tomato and no cheese and no pickle.... when she went to ring it up she told me my total was 12.50!!!! Suddenly my total dropped to 10.35 but I do not know what exactly she charged me! The bagels may be good but it is not worth the money....

Were in the Cary area for a long term stay and this has become our favorite "go to" spot for breakfast, lunch or a treat. The bagels are phenomenal, sandwiches are huge as well as delicious, and the pastries are just amazing! Since we are from the northeast, this is like a piece of home down here in NC. Service is fast and friendly and we cant say enough about the food. Its sooooo good! Definitely give it a try, whether youre just in the mood for great bagels to take home, or go all out and get a sandwich. Weve literally been there 4 times in 10 days. Super place!

10 years in the Raleigh area now, and this is the closest anyone has come (and Ive probably tried 100) to an authentic NY Italian sub, Ive left my share of bad reviews for places that barely put any meat on a sandwich and charge an outrageous price for it. Not here. Yes, the 6-inch Italian Combo was probably among the priciest Ive had, but Im happy to pay more for a fresh, high quality meats that are piled up high on a homemade sub roll. Two thumbs up! Cant wait to come back and try the bagels that looked amazing as well...

The bagels are excellent. There is a good selection of good quality NY style pastries. I travel here about once a week from Durham for bagels and rye bread (Saturdays only for rye bread). The rye bread is totally authentic top level NY seeded rye. If you want it sliced, you should not pick it up before 11:30 AM or it will be too warm to slice. To be sure you get it, call ahead and reserve a rye. You will not be disappointed. They do a very good business and expect it to be crowded.

Hi everyone I would like to say something about the review for any kind of business the review related to stuff they ( company ) service or sell , but not people working u have issues with staff call management or Manger to fix otherwise we need review from every one about the food and test not private issues. I have problem with some brand name business before overseas but that doesnt mean the big brand name is bad no the person he service u have penalty with management.

This place is the authentic and delicious. My boyfriend and I frequent this place and absolutely love it. The food is immaculate and the staff are great. It really is like walking into NY straight off the street of Cary, its refreshing, the staff arent ass kissers, theyre there to provide tasty food in a quick manner. The Bacon, Egg, & Cheese Egg Everythings are what life is meant for and their Pastrami on Rye with Provolone and Deli Mustard gives me good dreams.

Went in this passed Sunday ordered my bagel sandwich and it came to $7 something after tax. Reasonable it was a good sandwich. Went in today they rang it up it was almost $10? Same exact sandwhich. When I asked why the difference the lady unappologetically said "well they rang it up wrong" ("they" meaning whomever rang me up Sunday). Wont be back. There are plenty of other delis and great sandwhich places that have consistent pricing and better customer service.

Stopped by here today to grab a bagel for lunch and the person taking my order was just plain rude. When I asked if there was a manager around he informed that HE was the OWNER and that I had an attitude. This all took place in front of his three other customers in the store (two of whom were little kids). Suffice to say I made a swift exit and will not be stopping again. Will be sure to follow up with the BBB.
