Was kicked out because the owner/sand which maker wanted to close early. My husband and I were filling out our order when about 5 minutes later a lady from behind the counter came over and said we needed to leave. It was only 2:30pm and the door had a hand written note stating they would close at 3pm for winter hours. I asked the lady if they closed at 3pm and she replied, "not today". She was so rude and said that the door should had been locked. Meanwhile, the 15 folks that were in there already were staring at us as she started yelling for us to leave. Little did she know, we are locals... never returning and have made other locals known of the rude customer service. (she was an older lady with long gray hair)

Food is decent but they often lock the doors 10 or 15 minutes early. Employees not much personality...Last time I was there the lady at the register kept yelling #120...and clearly #120 had stepped outside....she was too lazy to walk 10 ft....there were only 3 customers there. Unreal!

The best ham sandwich east of the Mississippi River. Service is great. All ingredients are natural and handmade. They also have jams and jellies for sale. They are carry out only. Worth the stop if you are within 50 miles of Boone/Valle Crucis area.

This is one of our favorites here in the High Country. Sandwiches are a little pricey but well worth it. They dont skimp on ingredients and some of the combinations are amazing. We love The Valley Scorcher and The Willet.

Amazing sandwiches with great bread, tasty and fresh meats and good sides. Prepare to indulge because the sandwiches are huge and the service is friendly. Beware parking on busy days.

Decent sandwiches. Good cole slaw. Lots of the same jams and jelly from around the area. 3 star due to there is no seating or public restroom which are probably the reasons for both.

Still havent tried the ham, but we stop by here often with the kids to get treats and toys from the shop when were in the area. Same road as Mast Store, very convenient.
