Deceptive pricing. Either the menu is out of date, or they charged a lot of money for the water. Either way the final bill came to 7.26 for a jumbo burger which is 5.75 on their menu. Thats not even including tip. This actually happened twice with another item on the menu as well. First time it happened I decided to hold back because I thought it was an error. Decided to post because it has happened twice. A lot of the menu items can be made with items from the grocery store or are actual items that are from the grocery store. I dont know if you want to call that New York Style or not. In short, there are a lot of other better delis out there.. and I mean a lot better in terms of taste and/or price.

They have some of the best sandwiches Ive eaten, including the delis in New York when I visit my parents. I bring guests from out of town whenever I can, and Ive never had anyone leave disappointed. The lunch rush can get quite crowded, but even then the wait staff is attentive and efficient. I wish there was an option to give six stars. *Editing to add that the portions are generous to say the least. Ive never left hungry, and often bring leftovers with me. This has been a constant over almost 20 years of eating here.

Ive been coming to this establishment since I was a child. Im visiting in town with my girlfriend and I took her here. Do not ask for a latte or the old waitress will get insanely triggered. Horrid reaction , the waitress went off exclaiming how their just a deli and proceeded to angrily grab orange juice and other refreshments from their fridge and wave them in our faces repeating how they shouldnt have to have lattes since their just a deli. Lost a lifelong customer on this one

Wow... was really excited to come here until a waitress decided to judge us immediately. Was with my boyfriend who has been coming here for 15-20 years. Asked for a simple latte from an older waitress and her reaction erupted into a fury of anger exclaiming that she doesnt have that... she waved orange juice in our faces and said that they were just "a simple old deli" A simple "no mam, we dont have that," would have been perfect. Lost our service and unfortunately, our respect

I love this place. Its staff are always friendly, the food is great and reasonably priced and the atmosphere is fantastic. I went in there the other day, ordered a sandwich to-go, but had left my wallet in my car. Anywhere else they would have cancelled my order but when I went back in a solid 15 minutes later, my order was sitting there ready to go. They had no idea that I would be coming back and still finished my order. I love this place.

Had them do trays for small wedding reception. AMAZING service from first phone call to pick up! Beautiful products, beautifully presented. PERFECT customer service! Rarely do we find a business so bent on great, friendly, appreciative service. No surly brats working here. Just good old attitude of taking care of customers as if they were your best friends! I have had lunch here for the past four days and have had something different each time and have not yet been disappointed...reminds me of back home in ny...I have now decided to just keep going down through the menue...so I have had the rubin it was out of this world and the first three subs on menue and I am just going to continue down till I have tried everything...

Been enjoying FCD for nearly 20 years now. Weve moved to 2 different states in that time and always make it our mission to eat here at least once when in town for a visit. Ate here for lunch at least once a week when we lived in GSO. Quality eats!!

Got my hambuger and it was burned on the outside and red on the inside. I explained this to the cook in the back who looks Italian or Greek with dark hair and he was so rude and basically told me Ineeded to go get one at the grocery store.

This is a comfortable place to have a sandwich. The staff is friendly and accomodating, and the food is very good. We found this place while visiting Greensboro, and will definitely go back after we move to the area.
