Overall the food and atmosphere at Mod are great! If you are unfamiliar, Mod is setup as a Subway-style pizza shop. The pizzas are all personal-size, and you can either choose from a menu of pre-designed pizzas, or mix and match from a large variety of ingredients to make your own. Regardless of what you pick, you pay a flat rate, based on the size of the pizza (your options are basically small or normal). This is where the model strongly favors those who like a large amount of toppings. If you prefer very basic pizza (for example, only cheese, or with just 1-2 toppings), you probably will not feel like you got your moneys worth. Mod also serves alcoholic beverages (beer and wine), with a decent but limited selection. The atmosphere is very modern, and energetic. Overall great place to eat, just dont expect it to be quite as cheap as other "quick" options.

I had a pizza on MODs opening day, and another one several days later. A line of employees builds your pizza in front of you as you choose your sauce and toppings. The building is very clean and modern, with some outdoor seating available as well. The standard "MOD" 11-inch pizza is $7.77, includes as many toppings as you want (no extra charges for specific toppings), has a wonderfully thin and crisp crust, and is enough to fill you up without that stuffed feeling. The staff is pointedly outgoing and friendly, and the pizzas come out FAST! I will be back soon - and often.

The pizzas are so delicious!!! I love that you can get a mini size of pizza for kids who are under 6yrs old and be able to finish it. Its wonderful that you can pick as much toppings and not get charged for it like other pizza places. MOD pizza know how to do it right when it comes to pricing, service and making yummy pizza. You cant go wrong!

I would give 5 stars if it werent a chain. But forget its a chain. For everything you get, and how amazingly GREAT the food is, and how inexpensive, just give them your money already. Get drizzled in the balsamic fig and forget the pizza even. And tip them well, these guys work hard and deserve it.

I really like the concept for their business and the pizza is really tasty. Im not a huge fan of thin crusts but their crust is still quite good. Pay one price for pizza and get what you want on it. Gluten-free options available (not Celiac safe). Plenty of parking and the staff is friendly.

Good, quick, affordable build-your-own pizza. Thin and crispy. But they need to dim the lights! WAY to bright, almost makes me not want to go back. People like ambiance. It doesnt have to be dark, just not so freakin bright that it hurts your eyes.

Great flat crust pizza, and more importantly, great for vegans! The unlimited toppings, including dairy free cheese, mean that I can actually get a great vegan pizza at a fantastic price. So glad to have this as an addition to North Asheville.

Yum. Nice selection of veggies. Regular crust and red sauce are vegan - beware of the milk laden pesto sauce. Also liked the fact that I could have a little bit of non-dairy cheese - which is sometimes a bit much.

The best way to describe this place is the Chipotle of pizza shops. Great staff friendly and welcoming. Good food and prices choose the size and add as many topping you want for free.
