Went there last night because they had open patio seating. The patio was full. We sat for awhile before the waitress, Susan, came to take our order. Ordered a round of drinks and dinner at the same time because I didnt want to wait on ordering dinner because it took so long for her to come in the first place. She was very pleasant, took our order. A long time passed and still no drinks. I asked her, very nicely, would the drinks be coming soon. She replied "hes making them, I placed the order, I cant jump behind the bar and make them" What? Who says that to a customer? Ok, my father in law ordered a side salad with his reuben and my husband ordered the entree caesar salad with steak in it. My husbands entree came out ahead of all the entrees and my father in laws side salad came out, and I questioned that it was the same size as my husbands entree salad. She said all the salads are the same size. Doubtful! My husband indicated he didnt want his entree before everyone elses came. My husbands salad had no steak in it. We let it go because it would probably be another hour to get the steak put in it. Then the bill comes and my husband was charged for caesar with steak and my father in law was charged for his reuben, plus an entree salad. Had to take the salad off his bill. BTW, the salad -- not so good. Anyway, I dont know what was going on -- understaffed? The waitress was really nice but should never have made that comment to me. We are in food service, and we know how its supposed to roll. Not a good experience!!!!

After having previously enjoyed our visits to the Irishman we decided to book our wedding rehearsal dinner there, securing the back rooms and patio for a Friday evening. The planning process was simple and pleasant and we were very excited. That Friday evening was the most unpleasant experience of my wedding weekend. Our meals were supposed to be served at 630 and some were brought out shortly after that... I received mine at 745. They came out cold, sloppy, flavorless, and most missing components (like the vegetables). The staff was very apologetic but were full of excuses (kitchen in disarray, not sure whats going on, busy restaurant, etc.), none of those were our problem. When people began to complain to my family, they spoke to someone and asked for additional time to be given on our bar package as it was ending at 8pm and people had literally just gotten their meals. They did extend the bar an hour at their cost, but unfortunately it was too little too late, as people were wrapping up and heading out anyway, and only a handful of drinks were even ordered. The ice cream that came with the meal was never served and we had to ask to get it for the kids who knew it was supposed to have been there. When my Mother in law spoke to the manager after the weekend, she was unapologetic, and tried to place blame on family members "distracting" the servers (in which they were attempting to rectify the poor meals...). Accountability and an apology would have gone a long way, and there was neither. We will never go back.

We were seated immediately and asked to move.... Twice!!... the waitress was great. We ordered our food. It took a long time... At least 25 minutes to get it. My chicken wings were ok but I only got legs. I usually eat the flats so I was disappointed. My dates salad was "ok". My friend and her boyfriend ordered the Shepards pie. It was cold in the middle and hot on the ends. The potato topping was delicious. The rest of it was horrible. They asked for a menu and told the waitress that the lamb didnt taste good. But it wasnt the lamb.... It was just bad. The waitress came back and was embarrassed to say that the manager said he will not take the Shepards pie off the bill. My friend didnt care but I did. The dinners they ordered were not good. The temperature was off and the bottom line is that the customer was not happy. I was very displeased as I frequent this place at least once a month with my co workers. I think the manager was being a jerk by not taking the Shepards pie off the bill. Our service was great, she was a doll. Not happy with the manager thats for sure.

We had reservations for a party of 16 people on a late Saturday afternoon. The parking lot, restaurant and patio were packed. Our waitress was very sweet and trying her best, but she seemed a bit overwhelmed. She had our large party and tables on the patio as well. Most of our drinks were purchased at the bar because we could not find our waitress. Appetizers took forever as did our dinners. Two people from our party sat and watched everyone eat while they waited for their meals. They were brought out after everyone else was finished. As for the food it was ok to bad. The lobster bisque was inedible.I got up the nerve to ask to speak to a manager.Im not normally complainer and I was not looking for any freebies. I work in customer service and I know how things get when it gets busy, so I very nicely told the manager the situation. She was very defensive and didnt give us so much as a sorry for your wait. Will never go here again or recommend to anyone else.

Please believe me when I say this...........I never complain about food at a place. Tonight the place was packed outside with live music. Sounded and looked like fun. We just moved from Amherst into Williamsville and was not familiar with the hood. Hungry. There where 5 of us. Three of us ordered the Ribs. 17 rocks. First of all when the order came and I saw 4 ribs I was quite set back. Then I tried to cut them with a steak knife and it was like sawing into a oak wood block. Plus it was all fat. How do you toughin up fat? Did not get any refund in which I did not ask for or even a free drink. Went home starving. MIGHTY TACO..MIGHTY TACO. Oh well.

Went here on a day where the patio was quite busy but inside seating was dead. We were seated on the patio by a hostess I believe (assuming someone would alert a server we were there.) We waited for 10-15 mins before we were even acknowledged, and then another five minutes before our drink order was taken. I ordered the fish fry (over battered, soggy, and the fries were cold.) My wife ordered the shepherds pie (Shepherds soup). Needless to say we were very disappointed. Many people assure us this is not typical, so go ahead and judge for yourself.

This is one of those places thats MUCH nicer on the inside than it looks. Its decorated all over with Irish things and the waitstaff are all super friendly. The salads dont have a smidge of iceberg lettuce in sight and the soups were yummy and homemade. They have a really varied menu as well!! We want to go back and try EVERYTHING! :) My single complaint was that I wasnt a huge fan of their shepherds pie (always my first thing to order at a new Irish place.) It was really sweet and pretty oily. Everything else was amazing, though!
