I walked in because it was the first place I encountered that I thought would have a good selection of televisions for me to watch my favorite game on. I walked around to the end of the bar and saw an open space with a TV that no one was watching. I asked the bartender if he could switch the channel to the one carrying my game and he actually suggested another spot that had a larger TV and offered to change the channel on that one to my game. So he walked me around to the other end of the bar, switched over to my game, and brought a menu to me promptly. I havent even described the food and drink choices yet, so that should be an indication if just how great and accommodating this place is. I dont have to say it, but I definitely will be coming back. Having said that though, I do miss the way Hibernian was set up and decorated prior to the fire that occurred here a few years ago. To me, the old Hibernian was more cozy, more personal, with all the different booths and the books lining the walls....... I really thought I was in an Irish pub. But the new Hibernian isnt something to pass by. The level of service here is top notch, and their selections remain as varied and delicious as ever. So definitely worth coming here.

I had been excited about the Hibernian Pub being re-built for some time. In my opinion there is a shortage of good outdoor seating in the downtown area. During my visit my party had a Ruben with a side Cesar salad and a Shepards Pie. Talk about disappointing! The Cesar salad was plated horribly and the lettuce was old. The Corned beef on the Ruben was dry and stringy. I was even excited to see that the Ruben was on traditional marbled rye, which is a nice change from other "Irish" restaurants which serve their Ruben on a Texas toast type bread. Needless to say, the decent bread was not enough to overcome the less than adequate corned beef. As for the Shepards pie, I believe that the reviewer a few spaces below me, put it best "frozen microwave quality. " After conferring with friends who had also visited the establishment, the reviews were unanimous (sub-par quality and portions on the food). The service and the drinks were fine, but they wont be getting my business until they make some major changes with the food. My advise to the ownership is to just fix this one last piece (food) and you will have a great restaurant. You have done everything else exceptionally well.

Its always a pleasant adventure going to the Hibernian. The food is tasty in general. Their brunch on Sunday is off the hook, though! The beer is always cold, the food is always hot, and the service is just how it should be. Memorable. I was here the other night. It was not super busy but there was a crowd. It felt nice, the laughter and the clinking of glasses was like going home. The bartender, Joey, a handsome tattooed fellow with a giant smile kept the drinks strong and the cheers going. Love that guy! Our waitress, Nicole, ah Nicole was a fiery latin woman who is every bit supermodel as she is girl next door. Her smile and accent added a cosmopolitan feel and her friendly personality made me feel right at home. Like an old friend who has come over for dinner. Outstanding exclamation on an evening! To Joey: Thanks for rockin as hard as you do. To Nicole: Thanks for making us laugh, making us oogle, and making us drunk. To the Management: Joey and Nicole are hereby celebrated as the people who "MADE" our Hibernian experience so amazing, and they deserve a solid high five, major kudos, and possible a billboard on Hwy 40.

We were in town this past weekend and we decided to go and check out a few spots and have some drinks. We decided to head over to the Hibernian and we had no idea that it would be much more than a place to have a few beers. It was simply a wonderful experience! First of all the place is absolutely gorgeous and not just another Irish pub. The staff ,from the GM, bartenders, hostess, and our wonderful server made us feel like we were friends and like wed been patrons for years. We even got a personal tour of the entire establishment..yes, its grand enough to warrant a tour! We went back the next night and were delighted to find the royal treatment wasnt a one time affair. We took the opportunity to sit upstairs on the gorgeous rooftop patio that overlooks the dowtown area and we were lucky enough to have tbe same server from the night before. I cant say enough good things about this place and the amazing staff. Go folks, youll be glad you did!

I was so utterly disappointed with the changes to the menu (third time in the last 6 months) and food items that I will most likely not be back!! You got rid of raspberry bread pudding my favorite and usually determining factor for even coming to your restaurant in the first place, you also changed the shepherds pie another classic Irish meal so now its about on par with frozen microwave meals. Seriously why are you compromising soo much quality?! Also ordered nachos which now you are using the same meat as in the shepherds pie?? Theres just something wrong with that picture...there should never be peas and carrots in nachos!! Completely and totally disappointing especially since it was for my Birthday! I will not be back unless I see some serious changes to this place, which sucks because it used to be one of my favorites. In an attempt to cut on their expenses (just a guess) they completely killed themselves.

I went there hoping for the best as a friend recommended the Hibernian. The decor is very nice and the server was pleasant while not the most attentive. However, I will NEVER return to this restaurant ever again. The food was tasteless and the plate presentation was sloppy. I ordered corn beef and cabbage hoping for great traditional Irish fare. This was not the case. I can only imagine that the corn beef came from a package due to the 3 exact size squares on my plate. The cabbage was freshly steamed without a touch of salt or any other seasoning and the mashed potatoes were definitely the powder package variety. The other dishes served also lacked any presentation or sense of caring about flavor. I would avoid this restaurant if you are going to eat. I am sure this is a good place to drink given the drink specials. I would recommend that the ownership check up on what is coming out of the kitchen.

I went to Hibernian for lunch on a Saturday with a party of 2. We got there around 11:30, so they werent too busy yet. We asked to sit upstairs, outside. When we got upstairs, we noticed that some of the 6 tops (the high tops with the good view) were empty, so we asked to sit at those. The hostess told us that they would "rather reserve those tables for larger parties." While we were eating our overpriced, mediocre lunch, we watched 3 other parties of 2 get seated at the high tops. Out of the 6 high tops out there, 4 of them had parties of two and the other 2 had parties of three. As we were leaving, we walked by both hostesses and neither of them said goodbye to us. I love the redesign of the place and the atmosphere is wonderful, but the staff needs to get their act together and the food needs to get better. Ill probably never go back just because I was put off by the hostess.
