went here with two coworkers for lunch on a Tuesday. Both myself and a coworker ordered the spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls and it came with a ginger dressing tossed salad, the other ordered a salmon bento box. Every place Ive ever been at that serves this has their own approach to the ginger dressing, either because they make it themselves or buy from a different vendor. It was fine, not bad, but slightly separated as the ginger mostly stayed on top and the liquid was at the bottom of the bowl. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, there was 3 other tables that sat down when we did. The spicy salmon is cooked and shredded and put in sushi rolls and the tuna is traditional as expected. Because they use the same sauce, used generously, I had a hard time know which roll was which. I have no major complaints except for the fact the sushi rolls were extremely loose (not sticky rice?) and fell apart easily when dipped and this was true for all 5 rolls that were on our table. The taste was decent, not noteworthy. I wouldnt bend over backwards to go again but its fine for the price. I have read the other reviews here and I find some of them way too optimistic and a couple reviews were concerning. I actually think I had a good experience there but anybody who thinks this place is some 5 star place may need to think again.

中国人の夫婦がやっている日本料理のお店です。値段は16ドル程からで結構高い。 頼んだお寿司はご飯が多めで、ネタの切り方がバッサリでした。しかも強く握りすぎでシャリがまとまりすぎです。 醤油が甘めの刺身醤油だったのでそれは好感が持てます。他にも天ぷら等があるみたいですが、20ドル軽く越えます。。。

Taka is the best Japanese restaurant in Webster by far, and possibly in Rochester in general. Simply nothing else compares. The restaurant is small, but highly professional and yet casual. The sushi is to die for. If youre in the mood for a new restaurant, but dont want to take the risk on an iffy prospect, absolutely go to Taka. It will not disappoint, in any way whatsoever. I suggest the spicy tuna sushi, and pretty much anything involving tofu!

Great location, nice restaurant, the service is a bit slow, but the sushi is very good to excellent. Try some of their fried rolls, they are really unique. We now have two great sushi places in Webster. I give this one the edge for location and ambiance, the "other" gets a very slight edge for the sushi itself. Great place to go and stop in next door at the Mona Lisa for dessert after dinner...youll make your wife/date very happy :-)

Simply the best sushi place in town. Very cozy mom and pa style place with owners always on the floor: Mr. Taka is preparing food and Mrs. Taka serves it. They really do magic. One suggestion: make sure you experiment and try all the specialty AMD premium rolls - you will definitely rind something that you will crave forever. And one more thing, this is the place that you send someone to try sushi for the first time!

Doesnt look like the picture, no table clothes. Sashimi platter, picked by the chef, smelled like fish, some was still frozen was the worst I have ever had. No sashimi al carte on the menu, very strange. Wife had kitchen hibachi sirloin steak. Steak was good she said but the vegetables and the presentation were bad. She said it looked like slop . It was not very busy for a Friday night, never a good sign.

Since moving to Webster this has been our go-to spot for a great meal. Having visited most of the sushi restaurants in Rochester, this is by far the best overall experience. Great service, a relaxing atmosphere, and fresh, delicious food every time. We frequent this spot often, and have never had a single bad experience. Cannot recommend Taka House enough!

Easily the best sushi in Webster...Ive tried all the sushi places in the greater Rochester area and this BY FAR the cleanest one with the freshest tasting fish. Forrest Gump or Mango Roll will have you waking up in the middle of the night craving for it. If you are a beginner sushi eater, this place is for you..Ive never had a bad roll!!!

I have been told this place has good sushi, tonight I tried it for the first time and it was very good. I picked up my food and service was quick and prices are reasonable considering the food. I recommend Shrimp Tempura roll. I am looking forward to a site down experience next tome.

Clean restaurant, friendly staff nate our server was very friendly and attentive. The sushi rolls were good but put together neatly and fell apart easily. They sauce was not even on the rolls so some had it and other pieces had none, so they were good, not great nor amazing.

The owners are excellent hosts and offer some of the best Japanese food in the Rochester area. The quality of preperation is superior to other local Japanese restaurants. The ingredients always seem fresh and attractive. Highly recommended.

First time I ordered take out from this place and the sushi roll was wrapped with the HAIR. I called to complain and the guy accused me of lying, although apologized. Thankfully there are other sushi places around Webster area.

Great Sushi! The bubba gump and crab tempura are fantastic! Ive been to a a lot of sushi restaurants and Taka is the best for Japanese food, drink and service. I recommend going to the most honorable house of Taka!

I have been coming here for 9 years. Had "best sushi" in Boston and NYC and it is closest Ive come to in Rochester. Would not trust anywhere else for great sushi. We often come here.
