As if I wasnt going south of the boarder already, it was time for our next CMYE: Qdoba Sneak Peak and Guacamole Contest. Qdoba is located right off Empire Blvd. next to Wegmans out in Webster, with many other locations opening around the Rochester area soon. There motto is "Life is Full of Flavor, so Just Get Out There and Try It"- WORD! I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant, as there patio area outside is extremely relaxing for myself and Julia Y. The staff is right on par with not only knowing the menu but offering suggestions on what they thought where the best tacos. They even told me that when they officially open, they will be offering a way to just FAX your order for pick-up-SMART. To get the whole Mexican experience legally, I would highly recommend trying out the Three Knockout Taco Combo for a CHEAP $9.00 with their GUAC!! To celebrate their pre-opening Qdoba hosted a fun-filled guacamole contest in which you had to replicate their tasty Guac. Props go out to Emily H. for making a delicious guacamole from scratch, so good that you couldnt taste the difference from the restaurant itself, making her the WINNER! With my Mexican burrito hat on, it was time to get down to the food. Ironically, our TOP picks helped re-arrange the menu order on their board. KNOCKOUT 3 TACO COMBO: TWO-TIMER: This was the BEST taco of the evening, so all your girlfriends and boyfriends out there you better watch out! This taco had both a hard, and soft shell combined together making it extremely easy to eat without the hard shell getting soft too fast inside. The pulled pork tasted great combined with salsa, cheese, lettuce, and pico de gallo. The taco gets even better, as it was topped with Qdobas tasty 3- Cheese Queso Sauce (more on that further down). TRIPLE THREAT: Yeah this sexy party failed to miss the mark, as these tacos seemed to be over-powered by this greasy fake bacon taste. The grilled fajita veggies did elevate the taco, but the 3 Cheese Queso brought the hard shell down to a softening blow. This taco will soon become a salad as Julia Y. found out. So I guess the third man is out on this party, might be a good thing, since I tend to get jealous fast. MAD RANCHER: This is the taco where Qdoba really shows off there Guacamole talent. Chicken combined with guac, and topped with ranch is a flavorful idea. You needed both of these ingredients together on the taco because the chicken will be extremely dry. CHIPS AND 3 CHEESE QUESO: Come to the place just for the Queso alone, which I thought was equally the BEST item on their menu. There Queso is combined with Cotija, Chedder, and what I believe might be Swiss cheese. This queso was also topped with right amount of seasonings on top making you want to keep dunking your chips in for more. The chips where crispy, hot, and fresh like bread out of the oven. CHIPS AND DIABLO QUESO: This was a SPICY version of their 3- Cheese combined with fire-roasted chilies and tomatoes. While it wasnt EXTREMELY hot, it had enough of a kick to where I had to go back for a refill on my soda beverage. Again, thumbs up for a well-delivered Queso better than other competitors out there. CHIPS AND GUAC: Need I say more about this since there homemade guacamole is one of their signature dips here at Qdoba. There Guac is made with avocados, fresh onions, cilantro, and a BONUS ingredient of adding jalapenos into their mixture. BEVERAGE STATION: Now I have seen MANY self-served beverage stations, but none compare to this one. They have more flavor combinations in there machine to whip up any soda you want. I choose to get this delicious Orange Soda with Raspberry flavoring- ADDICTING. DESERT: Yeah, you can also get a double chocolate fudge brownie after your taco fest. This delicious brownie combines both milk and dark chocolate together, giving you a variety of flavors on your pallet. Weird since this a taco place after all, but they do have good brownies!

The place was a mess! Every table was filthy, we had to wipe one down ourselves in order to sit down and eat. The area by the drinks looked like it had been through a war, there was no garbage can in this area and there were straw wrappers and broken soda lids everywhere. There was also a sticky mess all over the counter. There was only one garbage in the entire place, which was overflowing as well. I couldnt believe the lack of up keep in such a new place. The staff was unhelpful as it was my and my husbands firth time, we hoped for a little guidance but the employees wanted to hurry us along rather than answer our questions. Overall a HORRIBLE experience. We will not be going back. Dont waste your time or money....not worth the frustration.

My first trip here, I got tacos to go and really enjoyed them. The service was slow, but it was their first week and they were pretty busy, but the tacos were very flavorful. Today, the service was equally slow, but there was only one other person in line. The server did a sloppy job making the tacos and they were all dripping and runny and definitely NOT as good as my first experience. Even though they werent very busy, the dining area was a mess. They probably dumped a lot of money to bulldoze the gas station and build this place. They need to get their act together or there is going to be another empty business here.

Great food!!! Better to go during off peak hours. Had a delicious mouthful of tacos with variety of meats, rice, beans and veggie selections. Flavor is to be desired, second best to Chipotle in spices but better than Moes in overall satisfaction (less being greeted loudly upon entry... if thats ur thing). Qdoba just need alcoholic beverages and that will make this establishment a enjoyable hang out for fans of Mexican beer and margaritas.

The bacon and sauces they use give them a distinctly southwest flavor even more so than some of their competitors. Qdoba is the options of Moes, with the flavor quality of Chipotle, with a flair all of their own. Its become my favorite build-a-burrito place.

Better prices than chipotle, and a lot more flavor! Really cool interior and great food. The portion sizes seemed a bit less than my previous qdoba experiences, but I still had enough to feel full. Definitely recommend!

Huge portions and very friendly staff. Super nice inside - was very impressed. Free queso and guac! I used to go to Chipotle but now we only go to Qdoba - way more food for your money and much friendly people.

Excellent. Better than Chipotle, I stopped going there altogether. The brisket is amazing, I get a burrito bowl every time. The mixing soda fountain is a plus.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere but the tacos were very overseasoned. I love spicy food but this food just completely missed the mark for me.

The food was really really good, comparable to Chipotle, in pricing too. Notable difference is that they do not charge extra for guacamole!

Mushy tacos filled with soupy toppings, tough steak and a major grill fire! Even Taco Bell across the street is better!
