When you get a burrito, and you cant tell if the meat is pork or chicken or really what meat it is, that is not a good sign. Took 10 minutes to be greeted to get a drink. 15 more minutes to get chips and salsa. 45 minutes to see someone again for an entree. Once entree is served, you dont get checked on again until its time to deliver a check. When waiter took my not eaten plate away, I told him it was not good, he didnt apologize or anything. He then proceeded to bring me the check with the burrito I didnt eat still on it!! If someone had checked on us (like our waiter) before the check was delivered (1.5 hours later), maybe I could have let him know. We go to checkout to reference the burrito not being good and still on our bill, 3 staff members come over to argue that no one complains about their recipe. And, arguing with an already hungry and displeased customer is not good customer service. I have eaten at 25+ Mexican restaurants across the country including in Mexico and other Latin American countries, and this was the poorest quality food and service I have ever had! Mind you the prices were higher than most restaurants. I highly encourage anyone to NEVER eat here. When you eat something and worry if you may get food poisoning, thats not a good sign.

Our first impression of this little shack was "well here it is..." It is not a very inviting resturant but we were in the mood for great food and didnt feel like search the land for a different place. Upon walking into the establishment we were greated by an empty desk. Only after flagging a waitress down did someone else come and seat us. We reviewed the menu and then were brought chips and salsa. The chips tastes store bought and the salsa was okay. After the chips were long gone we were then asked out drink order and after 20 minutes of waiting we ordered our food. Food took decent amount of time. My husband and I both order enchiladas. They were gooy and over saturated with sause. Barely any cheese or chicken. No flavor other than sause and salt. After picking through our meals my husband asked for a Mountain Dew and was never told they did not have that, but he received a bonus drink of Sun Drop instead without his knowledge of not having Mountain Dew later revealed in the check. Wont be returning ever... EVER.

Horrible. It doesnt come close to plaza mariachi, el cerro grande, k38 or many others. Truly average. I eat out for Americanized Mexican quite a bit. Ive sampled authentic Mexican(in Mexico) and have eaten and enjoyed it all over the America, including texas, the southwest and the desert southwest. For various reasons Ive eaten here 4 times in the last 4 years. Its always been below average to average. When I ate here the other day (9-8-16) it was below average. Dont get me wrong, the service was excellent.( I tipped 25%)The food however was one step above a bad TV dinner. Paying 13+ bucks for old refried beans, old rice, and 2 very small seafood enchiladas is a joke. What little seafood there was in the small enchiladas was imitation. I was there to have a catch up lunch with my brother so I wouldnt have normally eaten here... My advice is dont bother. There are other better options nearby. And if you want Mexican and youre near here, either continue downtown or try the college rd / Racine dr area.

We had our evening meal here tonight and the food was quite good! As a usual snack staple they give you chips and salsa. The salsa was good but I would have liked a spicier version. The wife usually gets queso cheese to go with the chips and we really liked this version. They added something to this cheese to add flavor. Our main courses came out very well too. The only issue was we told the waiter that neither one of us wanted guacamole and my wifes toppings for her fajitas has it on them. The waiter corrected this very politely I may add and dinner went on without incident. I wanted to try something that their online menu stated they had however to be let down by them not having it. However I did try a flan and I thought it was good. Since Ive never had flan, I cannot comment if this was a good version or not. However I and my wife enjoyed our meal and with the good food and good service, if we get a craving for Mexican, we will not hesitate eating here again.

Had dinner here on Friday April 21 2017. The food looked fine. My son and grandson seemed to enjoy their burrito and taco. However when I began to eat my rice I noticed the fork had a foul odor. I thought it was just that fork. It smelled as someone whose breath was rotten with bad teeth . There was another fork on the table that was clean so I picked it up thinking it was just an isolated incident or a figment of my imagination but it smelled the same. All I could do was think about bacteria and how I had eaten from this rotten smelling fork. I had to get up, go to the Bathroom and spit out the rice before I puked. What made it ten times worse is I had to wait a couple of minutes on the bathroom to get empty because someone was in their blowing it up. I mean figuratively not literally. Wont be back!!!!!

The only disappointment for us was that we were looking forward to the fruta burrito that was described on the website. Putting that aside, the service was great, the food was delicious, and the place was clean. I had a fajita combo and my husband had the fajita burrito. The portions were large. My food was slightly messed up from what I ordered (I requested no guacamole and the waiter forgot my tortillas) but the waiter fixed the mishaps immediately and I was able to enjoy my dinner while it was still hot. My husband did try the flan (he never had before) and he enjoyed it. We visited just before dinner rush so it wasnt packed but as we ate the establishment was filling up. I would recommend visiting this place if youre looking for a relaxing Mexican dinner.

I havent even gotten my main meal yet and already the food here is horrible. The salsa tastes like marinara sauce and the queso dip doesnt even taste like queso cheese. It tastes like cheap spray can cheese and its gross. Came to Wilmington for my Marine Corps ball and the wife wanted Mexican. WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE!!
