Good burrito, torta was good and huge (got the cubano, but be warned this is not a traditional Cuban sandwich) , but the meat had an odd spicing I couldnt quite put my finger on. The service was ok. It took us a minute to find the ordering area because I went in a door that looked like the front door, but the main one is the one with the pictures, not by the patio. If youre a gringo be expected to be looked at funny by the patrons. I dont know why, us gringos like authentic food too! So points docked for the funny flavor of the meat and feeling a bit out of place and being stared at, but overall good experience and I would love to try it again. Also the portions are HUGE. I had trouble finishing the torta and I had a big appetite!

Very good real Mexican food! Everything was well put together, served hot and very filling. I enjoy their tortas and tacos. This is not your typical "authentic mexican food" place, this is motherland quality food. So dont expect to come in here and have chips and fake salsa served. Their food always comes out with top notch flavor. Their dressing station is also nicely maintained with choices of 4 different salsas, cut up radishes, onions, cilantro and other toppings. Their prices are not steep either.

This place was amazing. Tacos were a bit small to what Im used to but the flavors were all there. The salsas were very good except for the guacamole. It was a bit water down. The Aguas frescas were on point. They had orchata, tamarindo, and jamiaca. Service was excellent. The lady at the front was very polite and courteous. We got our food pretty fast. I would highly recommend this place for all that like a very good and authentic mexican taco. And you its authentic when a Mexican recommends it.

Im a native born San Diegan and tried every place in Wilmington for Authentic Mexican Food. This was the best place I found; based off of my style of Mexican food. San Diego is known to have our own special taste. This place is perfect. They even would make me a Carne Asada burrito or Taco exactly how I needed it; Guacamole, Pico De Gallo (Tomato, Cilantro and Onion) ...... Highly recommended. Low key place, with Cervezas.

If youre looking for tex-mex you will be sorely disappointed. This is as close to authentic as it gets in wilmington. Not so much a fancy eatery as it is casual dining. The price would be more suited to a nicer restaurant though. This is a cultural translation of american to mexican fast food, a hangout to watch the soccer game after work on a friday. If the food werent so good I would never pay so much for a few tacos.

Ive eaten A LOT of Mexican food and this is authentic and awesome. I travelled in every state in Mexico; I lived in San Francisco for almost 20 years ..home to lots of amazing Mexican food .. I know Mexican food, its one of my favorite types of food, and this place really is great. I loved the Huarache especially.

I dont eat much Mexican food because the restaurants in the area arent too good. But this place is amazing, the food is delicious, portions are big, cost is cheap, they are super nice and I dont know how they cook so fast keeping the quantity and outstanding quality. I hope nothing changes.

We LOVE Taqueria Los Portales! We had a taco bar at wedding rehearsal back in May and their tacos were a HUGE hit! People are still asking us where the food was from. Best Mexican Restaurant in town. Thank you Los Portales!

Only place that offers Real Mexican food. Dont bother going anywhere else in Wilmington nc. They need to fix their bathroom, toilet doesnt flush and it looks like mold is gathering around the sink.

Went in for a few quick tacos and got just that two fish tacos and one chorizo for 6 bucks. They were flavorful and fast!
