Odyssey Diner in Wappingers is a breath of fresh air AND fantastic food. A warm greeting at the front door from Teena set the mood for this family food fest. Fresh vegetables and dip and a beautiful homemade egg bread come to every table whilst you peruse the huge, detailed menu. Three generations were taken to a large table and chose quite the variety: a daily special and HUGE portion of Shrimp in Vodka Sauce over pasta, three HUGE buttermilk pancakes and bacon with warm syrup on the side, Louisiana Wrap with Corned Beef hash from the breakfast side, Rigatoni Carbonara that was to die for and enough for two or more people and a hot open RARE roast beef sandwich: ALL were large, affordable and delicious. The restaurant is bright and clean, the staff is friendly and attentative and the food was FANTASTIC. This family cannot wait to return to Jack and Judys Odyssey Diner on Route 9.

This diner is absolutely great. Came in on a Wednesday and they were having a car show which was a cool plus. As an appetizer I had a fried calamari which was fresh and absolutely amazing. Dinner consisted of Prime Rib which many people wouldnt think to have at a diner. Im glad I did it was the size of the plate and had a great taste. I had enough for lunch for a couple of days. We shared a piece of Baklava cheesecake that is something Ive never seen before and that was also great. Bottom line great food, our waiter Jack was attentive, courteous, and he drew an awesome picture on the back of our check which was cute little touch. Very family oriented place. On the way out I Noticed kids eat free on Mondays. I highly recommend this place.

I cant give below one star...thoughly sucky dining experience, I ordered the Balboa hot roast beef sandwich...first of all the presentation of the plate look unappetizing with overly congealed cheese on top,fries were overdone,half the meat was hot,the other cold,my wife orders a turkey club, no mayo on toast...waiter never returned to see if meal was ok(They were busy bs ing and playing on thier phones) I expressed my displeasure to the manager (who was playing on his phone) he comped the meal...the drab unappealing food matches the drab interior. Sad excuse for a diner...definitely will NOT be returning.

Stopped in on a Saturday night and ordered a burger deluxe, standard dinner fare so you cant mess that up. However, it was the worst Ive ever had. Everything on the plate was not fresh and pretty inedible. The fries were soggy, the tomatoes mushy, the bun stale and the meat dry. The two onion rings were the best on the plate. The waitress was attentive and nice. But she brought a side of spaghetti with no sauce. When I inquired about it, she seemed surprised the sauce was not there! How did she not see that when she picked it up? Just a terrible experience and I dont plan on going back.

I honestly dont even know why I keep giving this place a chance. Every single time Ive ordered, they mess it up. I dont ask for anything over the top but its always incorrect. It would be maybe okay if the food was good but its mediocre at best. Very disappointed since its close to my house and I was initially excited for them to open. I think Im done giving them chances at this point. Edit: I ordered a twin burger with no bun and sweet potato fries and got a single burger on a bun with regular fries.

Stopped for a bite to eat around 3:30 on a friday, wasnt busy so we were seated promptly. Food was good, I had a griled cheese with tomato and sweet potato fries. My friend had a grilled cheese with regular fries, waitress brought us 1 small bowl of coleslaw with half a pickle. My friend ate the pickle, I ate the slaw which was some of the best Ive ever had. Only giving 3 stars because each order was supposed to come with coleslaw.

This place is GREAT! This restaurant definitely exceeded expectations. I went in when it was only opened 2 days and the place was packed! The food was amazing! We had a combo platter and it was great! The owners were greeting every guest that came in like they were part of the family. Definitely what Wappingers falls was waiting for!! You must try this place!! I highly recommend this restaurant, you wont be disappointed!

Wonderful , Delightful My Wife and I and my Brother Brother stopped in 2 days in a row during the break for our sisters wake . We all mentioned how the food was the best . The Young lady server was so friendly . We came back the second day to see if it could be duplicated , YES .This Truely has to be the Best Dinner I have been to. and in 52 years and have been in 40 0f the 48 continental staets . Overall a good local place to eat. Service is excellent. Excellent staff that is very courteous. For granted they only have a few more things than your normal run of the mill diner, but they have alot of the same things. I must say though besides having alot of the same things as a regular diner, they do have a few more things that they offer. Their desert menu, beer, and wine selection is excellent.

The Diner is nicely decorated,plenty of space,however their food appears to be bland and mediocre at best.Their food has no flavor,presentation is poor.The food appears to be made by a short order cook with no idea of using natural flavoring.I had the matzo ball,it was loaded with salt.With a well trained cook,the place can have potential.A CIA graduate can turn this place around.

Excellent Service, Great Food, Friendly Staff, Clean Environment. Came here with my family not too long ago, had trouble finding what I wanted to eat, the menu has too many options. The waiter suggested the seafood alfredo. Oh my gosh it was delicious. My family was pleased and very happy. Definitely going back again!!! 100% recommend going there !!

Had Easter dinner with my family, the food was really good and our waitress was very friendly and very attentive. Leg of Lamb was tasty, Chicken Madeira was awesome and the Turkey gravy for French fries and mashed potatoes is the best in the area! Deserts are huge and fantastic. This ia about the 4th time here. Will definitely continue to be a patron.

Was here late last night for a quick bite. I ordered breakfast items. They were delicious. The prices are hard to beat. Two of us last night ate full meals with sodas for $21.76 plus tip. The waitress Jackie was very sweet and attentive. Jack the owner happened to be there as well. We called ahead to assure they were open and he was very welcoming.

Very accommodating staff! We had breakfast here with our father/father-in-law, who is in last stages of cancer. Jay, our server, was so wonderful through out the meal. Food was delicious and couldnt ask for anything more. Thank you from those of us from Maryland in the group and our parents who are from Fishkill, NY. Thank you!!!!

Love this new diner! Went for dinner with some friends, ordered the chicken maderia off of the specials menu and it was fabulous!!! Portions are beyond expectations, given a bread basket and veggie platter before the 3 course meal is a wonderful touch. My friends and I Will definitely be back !!!
