READ THIS!!!! I first off would like to say i love this diner ive been there many times and never once had a problem. Waiter/waitresses are super friendly and nice food is always on point. Except for this time, I went here tonight with my 83 year old grandmother and one of the dinner specials was grilled lamp chops and she ordered then. When we got the food everything looked presentable but when she tried to cut the lamb chop there was absolutely no meat it was all fat and bone. I never once complained about something at a restaurant i usually just brush it off and deal with it because i dont want to make a scene but, this was a little ridiculous since they were $25. The manager came over and instead of listening to us he spoke above us and said he was going to make another one even though if he would of listened we didnt want another one because at this point my "83" year old grandma lost her appetite. I politely told the waitress to just make it to go. After that the manager came back over and started to draw a picture of what a lamb chop looks like with the fatty tail and the meat medallion on the end. Little did this man know my grandfather in his day was in the veal and lamb business and him and my grandma owned a gourmet shop. After feeling like i did something wrong the bill came and i expected them to have taken it off the bill but it wasnt. I asked to speak to the manager again and when he arrived i simply said i am not paying for this and he said "thats not the way it works here" and he stormed off and she he is going to get a different manager. When the other manager came he was very nice listened to the story and took it off the bill. Point blank i just wanted to have a nice dinner with my grandma and i felt like i had been attacked. I will be eating there again despite this rude guy but im just very upset with this. Oh one more thing he NEVER apologized .... is he really a MANAGER in the SERVICE BUSINESS.

Went in for lunch today and ordered a grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. The service was OK but quick, like a diner should be. Food came out in practically no time. When I received the bill I noticed that I was charged $7 dollars for the sweet potato fries. I brought it to the waitress attention that I had ordered a side with my sandwich, not an appetizer. She said that sandwiches dont come with a side and its says that in the menu. I let her know it would have been appropriate for her to tell me that when I was ordering, as it was extremely clear that I wasnt ordering an appetizer. She shrugged her shoulders at me and walked away. When I got up to a pay a manager noticed that I was reviewing my bill and asked if I needed help. I let her know what the situation was and her response was "Well all of our prices in our menu are very clear." Im not even looking for a comp on the bill, just an acknowledgement and not to be spoken down to. No apology from either the waitress or management. Ive worked in restaurants for a long, long time. I understand the waitress doesnt set the prices. But I do understand customer service and professionalism, something that was sorely lacking. Im a 20-25% tipper every time Im out but not this time. Hope it was worth being rude to your guest and getting "an up-sell."

I usually like this Diner but Ive had a few disappointments there. Recently a friend and I stopped there after working out at the Gym and decided to have a salad. She ordered the grilled shrimp Caesar salad and I ordered the grill chicken Caesar salad. When the salad arrived, the lettuce seemed to be very wet and the Caesar dressing was very then. My chicken seem steamed and not grilled and it was still pinkest. We informed the waitstaff and she said she would get the manager, but the manager never came to our table. Neverthess, several hours later, I was up at 3am with abdominal cramping and diarrhea. I texted my friend and she complained of the same thing. I decided to call the Diner and spoke to one of the managers, and she dismissed my complaint by saying no one else complained. Well that doesnt mean it didnt happen to anyone else. Some people just wont come back or they dont realize what it was that made them ill. The manager never offer a compromise, so I will not go back to the Red Line Diner, Fishkill. I guess Odyessy will be getting my business.

We went to Red Line on July 2nd. I ordered an Oreo milkshake which did not have oreos or chocolate syrup on top like it says on the menu. They dont give the overflow tin like Eveready does. For $5 something a milkshake, I thought they might. I ordered the turkey, artichoke panini, which when it came out, the turkey smelled rancidly bad. I told the waitress and she apologized, and quickly took it away. She quickly brought me something else, which was delicious. On my way out, I ordered two rugula, and they were $1 each, which I think is a little much, even though they were delicious. As you can tell, they were issues during our visit, but they were fixed, which shows good service, I just dont know if Ill be back right away. Thank you.

Thrilled with our first time, stopped through on drive from Gettysburg PA to Boston MA. Appreciated that the restaurant was very clean and well kept, inside and out. Additionally, the flow of customer traffic, which was quite a lot considering we came in at 11:22 for lunch, was being well managed with ample staff and direction from hostesses. We both had the kobe style beef burger, and from the lovely bun to ample condiments, it was clear that the ingredients used were high quality. We LOVED this burger, it was kind of on the large side, but what we expected from a diner. The flavor was GREAT! Well be stopping again and including other family members, hoping to try dessert!

This place is absolutely terrible and Ive been there twice unfortunately. They have terrible sandwiches. The meat was older than time and the bread was stale as ever. This was the first time. The second time we CLEARLY got charged twice for our dinner and the manager tells us that he needs more time to "figure out" whether or not it actually happened. This was after they had us wait half hour for that answer. They THEN tried to sit us down to buy more food! Are you kidding me? Rob us twice in one day?? Make sure you pay cash for terrible food.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER. IF YOU'RE NOT WHITE DON'T EVEN BOTHER. THEY HAD ME SEAT FOR OVER 30 MINS WITHOUT DRINKS OR TAKING MY ORDER . ALL WHILE A TABLE OF 6 WHITE PEOPLE WHO GOT THERE AFTER ME GOT DRINKS AND FOOD BEFORE ME . THAT TABLE WAS GONE BY THE TIME I WAS JUST GETTING MY FOOD . BY THE LOOKS OF OTHER PEOPLE AROUND ME THE FOOD LIKE GREAT BUT FOR SOME ODD REASON MY FOOD LOOK NOTHING LIKE THE WHITE GUY NEXT TO ME WHO ORDER EGGS AND BEACON LIKE ME .FIRST AND LAST NEXT TIME ILL JUST GO NEXT DOOR FOR BETTER SEVICES
