NO RATING! Food is good but the front desk people who takes the order and the deliver guy Vijay sucks and have attitude ! Feb-23-2015, placed order @ 7:10 PM and the delivery guy Vijay shows up after 1,5 hours (8:45 PM) and when inquired about the late, told me to sign the damn (he used the word damn) receipt and NEVER place order with us. Real clown and highly un-professional in approach and dont respect the customer! Even if you call many times, they will tell you the lies about the lies and the delivery guy/girl shows up very late. Never suggest to go again! Now the owner of this place should step up kick this as_____s out! I have heard similar stories from other friends of mine and they have similar experiences and sometimes worst than this! If these guys are around dont place any order with Taste of India! Even the delivery guy told not to place order with Taste of India, may be he is working for a different restaurant!

The lamb naan was awesome. Its unfortunate that they dont add tamarind and mint chutney to the side though without charging you an outrageous fee for miniature size sauces. Naan is supposed to come w/ the sauces, so Im confused as to why they are charging additional for it. The chicken vindaloo was VERY VERY bland and lacking all kinds of spices. I know what it should look and taste like and its NOT what I ate today. They give you a great portion of food, but quantity is NOT BETTER than quality. Samrat>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Taste of India, it is 10x better. Go there instead to taste REAL and rich indian food.

Highly recommended - my new favorite Indian restaurant in the Syracuse area. Ive been here a few times, and each entree Ive had has been excellent. I especially liked the Kadi Pakora; there are many great vegetarian options. The waiter has been very attentive to customer preferences for preparing the food. If youre a fan of spiciness (like me), they will prepare the curries very hot (and just about the perfect level, in my opinion). The prices are about par for Indian in Syracuse, but the excellent food and service definitely makes it worth going back to.

Taste of India is the best Indian place around. The food is phenomenal and the service is incredible. The family that owns the restaurant couldnt be nicer. I would recommend this place to anyone especially to those who have never had Indian food before and to those who are connoisseurs of fine Indian cusine. I would like to make a special shout out to VJ who is many times at the front desk or delivery driving. VJ is consistently on time with his deliveries and quite professional. I cant wait to come back for some more Spicy Tandoori Shrimp!

Its better than Samrat,. Their chicken curries are really just cubes of chicken with diff types of sauce. Their mango lassis arent very good their rasmalais (dessert) are dry and liquid around it is a strange variation on the heavy cream that rasmalais are supposed to be soaked in- not worth the $2.95. Bascially the quality of an Indian version of a Chinese take out restaurant.

Food was good, a bit on the sweeter side (for the malai kofta and paneer masala), but the service was amazing so I bumped up to 5 stars! Dave, our server, was engaging and funny, and also knowledgeable about the dishes. It shows that he used to be a cook and knows the process for the meals.

I live and work in the westcott area, this has become one of my weekly lunch spots. The buffet is always hot, and very good. Never have to wait, try the chicken masala, the naan is always fresh, the vege bar is fresh, rice pudding, and the family is humble.
