I went there with a couple of friends and we were seated with another group for the HIbachi - and that was fine. The cook had no flair, no real interaction with the people at our table except the "required" flair and tricks. Overall he seemed very bored to be there. The worst part was when he told me to open my mouth and he squirted Saki into it. I thought it was water at first, as he did not say anything about it being alcohol. I am an alcoholic and that action was irresponsible and dangerous. Later on we heard the cooks at other tables saying "Saki" prior to spraying the patrons, but our cook was so unhappy to be there that he didnt even say that. I will not return there because I do not want to be at the mercy of the cooks mood. If the hibachi cooks can be so far off their game, why should we not expect the sushi chefs to have similar issues? That is a scary thought.

I have been to many hibachi places. Never have I had such a horrible experience. It was a special occasion and Im very upset how it turned out thinking we were going somewhere fun and entertaining. This was the second time at Kumo and it was the worst hibachi experience. Our server was very rude. She was acting annoyed when we asked for another drink. The cook was the worst we had ever had. He did NOTHING special. If you have been to any hibachi place, you know they do the Saki and tricks. He was juss cooking and had nothing to say. It was a special occasion and it made me sad that we expected a lot more. The girls and I will never return here.

We have been here once since they opened and I am sorry I allowed so much time to pass before I discovered this gem. I feel I did not go there sooner because the parking lot is always packed, and I was fearful of a long wait! We recently went for lunch when it wasnt too crowded and am I ever glad we did. It was excellent -- hubby had a Japanese style box lunch with a tempura, and I had scallops with fried rice. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. I look forward to returning for lunch, as well as having dinner here in the future!

Food came out very fast. Ordered the Sauteed Oysters, Godzilla roll, and Iron Man roll. My favorite was the Godzilla roll. Sauteed Oysters were quite tasty as well. The decor was beautiful! I loved looking at the bar from where I was sitting, it was just really pretty. But the food was not filling. It was delicious yes, but Ive ate at other sushi restaurants in which I was satisfied with just a appetizer and a sushi roll. Food is definitely best quality, but not quantity in my opinion.

A typical hibachi restaurant, the service is absolutely average to me. I enjoyed the flavors of my meal. I love the ginger salad dressing that they always use. I ordered the chicken hibachi and it was pretty good, there was a decent amount of soy sauce and other flavors that were not too overpowering. If youre looking for an entertaining hibachi dinner, this is the place to go! I want to visit again to try out their bar and some of their sushi options.

Kumo as well as Mr Lams other restaurants (kashi, Mindoro, etc) are sushi heaven. The "show" is done by top Japanese chefs and is always fun but I enjoy a table and get serious with the menu. The place is always busy and the bar has a lot of good energy. Unreal, but seating is made available very quickly. Its More than just dinner here, its going to a top shelf venue in which you feel comfortable enough to sit back and relax. Have fun.

Most of the time they are really good espicially during the lunch special, but on my last visit the eal wrap, which is used on a majority of their roles was extremely chewy and the salmon in my philidelphia role was bad. I sent the food back to be remaid, but it came back worse then the first time. So I paid and left with the taste of bad salmon in my mouth. Ill go back but not anytime soon.

We ordered the lunch sushi from this place to pick up, when we we open the boxes, there is not a single pack of soy sauce in our package. How could you serve sushi without providing soy sauce!!!!! It will take me another half hour to an hour to pick up (or waiting for delivery) the soy sauce from them. This totally ruining my lunch, FIVE OF US!

The food and atmosphere were great. It was a bit more expensive then other places weve been to, but the hibachi chef was more engaging and the food was slightly better. Im not sure it was so much better that it warranted the extra price. I would go there again with a larger group of people, but with just the family Id go someplace else.

Arrived at 840 pm on a Sunday night. Was advised by staff they close at 9 pm but we can still be seated and will not be rushed. Fastest meal Ive ever been served.... Everything on table at once ... When I asked for two more drinks with dinner the bartender told the waitress that I could have them if I made them myself

Everytime I go there the service is just lacking. Ive never had hibachi from there though. Sitting at the bar is unwelcoming. The servers seem to be more concerned with gossip or whats happening on their phone or with facebook. Quality of sushi is ok, pretty good, but not worth dealing with the staff in my opinion.

Its "another" non-authentic place Sushi. Food is ok. Within the vicinity you have 3 sushi places. Its becoming like a Chinese take-out place which doesnt taste special anymore. I have eaten there a few times and the quality is the seem so its consistent.

Great sushi and your typical hibachi place. Very kid friendly for hibachi. Our 19 month old was in awe by the entertaining chef and loved the food. Also the chef ended his amuse with a balloon animal for our little one. Highly recommended for family dinners.

Hands down worst sushi on the island. 3 day old fish combined with an incompetent staff makes for an evening to forget. You'll be waiting at least an hour and a half for your entree (even on a Tuesday evening) so bring a good book. Never again.

Great place to have fun with friends, or bring the kids for an entertaining diner at the Hibachi table. My wife loves to come here for date night and we always start with the Tuna tower. The specialty drinks are excellent and we always leave happy.

Food is excellent. Habachi chicken is a little dry at times. Bit pricey and not a big fan of the bar, but the food is worth it. The habachi rice and yum yum sauce are the key to true happiness (besides the playboy mansion).
