All hype, no substance.... Today, after far too many failed attempts, my partner and I decided to wake up super early and get to Project Brunch before opening to ensure a seat. Finally, we got a table...oh how anticipation tends to disappoint. The menu looks beautiful, boasting some very interesting dishes. We ordered homemade banana bread with mascarpone cream and grilled pound cake with poached pears and the same mascarpone cream to start. The banana bread was bone dry and had no banana flavor, nor did the mascarpone cream. The grilled pound cake had no grilled flavor, and was cut way to thin for a dish like this. The poached pear that jeweled the top, however, was sublimely delicious. The only real star in a lackluster brunch. For main dishes, we ordered the special sweet potato waffles with honey dipped fried chicken and orange butter , as well as the house special PROJECT BEC (bacon, egg and cheese) served on a waffle with home fries. The sweet potato waffle was limp and cold, while the chicken was fried well, but not seasoned at all. The orange butter was bright and beautiful, while the honey sauce tasted more like plain corn syrup. Terrible. The PROJECT BEC had over easy eggs, cooked nicely, two slices of very thick cut bacon that were so well done and dry, that I cried for the poor pig who died to give it to us. The real brunch sacrilege was the hash browns that came out BLACK and burned. Beyond disappointing. For those standing outside in the cold, waiting on lines exceeding two hours for a table, I suggest going to your local diner, where they really know breakfast. This is just not worth the wait at all...x

This wouldve been a 4 or 5 but had an issue. Ive been here a few times and never had a problem until today. Ordered the breakfast pizza....expecting a breakfast pizza, but instead got a omelet on a really dry flatbread. I took two bites and just did not like it. I told the waitress Im sorry I just dont like it can I please exchange for something else. She went to her boss and when she came back she said she could not remove it from the bill cause you just dont like it. Although i thought this was unfair...I understood. Im very patient and dont like to cause a fuss. I did not order anymore food after that since i had to pay for the dry flatbread but ordered a iced macchiato instead. I saw them prepare it and it was sitting at the counter for 15 minutes before it was brought over to me. And it became watered down. But to avoid "we cant take it off the bill" I just paid and left unsatisfied. This left a bad taste in my mouth...literally.

This place is so popular that my husband and I tried it. The banana bread was delicious as was the peanut butter chocolate milkshake thing. Sweets really seem to be their strong suit. However, we did not really enjoy our meal. The disco eggs were underseasoned and had barely any gravy, which was not flavorful anyway. I had the steak and eggs, but the steak was incredibly tough, overcooked, and underseasoned. It was supposed to have chimichurri, but I really didnt see or taste any. Also, what kind of brunch doesnt offer mimosas or bloody marys? For fans of very sweet and overly decadent breakfast/dessert it seems good but for real brunch fans and those who want savory food, the hour+ wait is not really worth it. Overrated for sure.

Guys I just visited it earlier today, hot chocolate with topics looked fun and good but very sticky and messy! Be prepared to wait for over 180 minutes but if you know someone who works there "you" would be bump up in the line. When we finally got to the table and ordered our food which took another 30 minutes, we got half cold and half burned food. For the prices the food doesnt come even close to expectations of good. While I was waiting, I got a chance to look in the kitchen. Imagine that they cook the food without wearing any gloves, bear hands touching your dairy products like cheese, no headbands and

I stopped in with my boyfriend for the first time today and I have to say that I had a wonderful experience. The waiter, Darren, was very helpful and friendly. We walked in not knowing what to expect and he made the visit go very smoothly. He was informative and attentive. We will definitely be back again soon. They have a really cool menu. I definitely reccomend the frozen hot chocolate. The cheesesteak waffle sandwich was really good but could use more seasoning. And the breakfast pizza was delicious. Thank you for the great service!

Food was good… But we waited literally 45 minutes to an hour just to get my meal and the people next-door showed up literally 30 minutes after we did and got their meal and left before us Im guessing they forgot about us but we are sitting right in front of all the workers it was just ridiculous and to get somebodys attention didnt keep checking up on it they completely forgot about us. And were like the only four people sitting at this bar but whatever Im never eating again. The food was all right I guess

Ridiculous Good. The staff is amazing. Its so noce to be somewhere that isnt "Cookie Cutter" Innovative, fun and delicious menu. Treat yourself to to anything served in a jar. You will not regret it... Until you step on a scale or try to button your pants... But whatever. Its worth it. Sweet, savory... Pick a poison. There isnt a bad choice on the menu. Thw hosts are amazing amd always there. Makes a big difference. We needed something that wasnt everything else. We now have it.

Had breakfast this AM and very much enjoyed it. Our server, Michele, was attentive and very nice. My husband had BEC and I the SEC. Both very good. SEC (sausage egg & cheese) in between two fluffy waffles studded with pecans with a side of nicely seasoned home fries was delish. My husbands savory waffles with bacon and sunnyside up eggs with cheese and the great home fries was equally delicious. Excellent breakfast. We will be back!

The friendliest staff, the manager was fantastic even came around to ask if the food was good, and what we didnt like you really cant find that anymore. The food was amazing, there may be a wait but its definitely worth it. Waited two hours to celebrate a friends birthday for this new brunch hot spot on Staten Island and it was definitely worth the wait! Beautiful presentation of food, & definitely great service Its worth going!

Small place but clean, friendly staff had about a 15-20 minute wait on a Wednesday afternoon, I had the specialty sandwich the PB King Grilled Cheese chicken cutlets sandwich crusted with Doritos. Great concept but Chicken was a lil over fried and was lacking in the cheese department and Im not sure if those were Doritos or Wise Nacho tortilla s. Will definitely be going back because the menu is in the word of trump (yuge)

Its an hour and a half wait, then it took 45 minutes to get food. No food is worth that kind of wait. I had project burger which came out rare, bun was stale the parmigiano fries were soaked with oil. My kids had Mac & cheese which was bland and almost tasted like a box made Mac & cheese. My wife had banana pancakes, which were good but nothing out of this world. That is only reason for 1 star.
