HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Service, booked a big bussiness party for 250 people paid in full weeks before the party, so they had plenty of time to prepare. the day of the event arrives, on top of us setting up our own tables bringing our own chairs because the venue did not have enough to accomadate us. 8 pm hits all my guest arrive and no waiters or servers are to be found. my guest and myself had to come outside to the bar get behind the bar and start to make soda pitchers, the new owner has no idea what she is doing i am disgusted with this place. our mistake was paying in full, so quick to take our money but how is it possible that you book a party for 250 people and hire no staff to work the party. all along between the day we booked it and up to the day of the event the manager usured us everything was prepared. again i dont recommend this place to anyone as long as that lady is the owner !

This place was the best thing that couldve happened to me and my husband. We were supper stress looking for a venue for our wedding and we didnt know where to even start. A few family members recommended us to this place, they had a few parties at the place and said it was good. We took their advice and checked the place out, we called to speak to arrange an appointment and thats when we met Victor. He was very nice and would answer our phone calls and answered every question we had. He took care of every single detail we asked him to. We were a lil nervous because they had just changed owners but let me tell you, having our wedding at the BLUE RIBBON was the best decision ever. We had plenty of food and it was absolutely delicious, our Spanish family had so much to eat and it was just delicious. Thank you Blue Ribbon for making our special day even more special and stress free.

Had a horrible experience with the new owner while helping to host a party there. She is extremely disrespectful and started screaming and wanting to change the contract 4 days before the party, couldnt believe a business owner would talk to their customers that way, she is never available, doesnt answer the phone and when she does answer she is always busy and promises to call back but doesnt. Our party was under staffed,we had to clean the room ourselves from the party they had a night before. They started serving the party 1 hour late but ended at the agreed time, for the first hour guests were there not even water was served. The employees are great but there is very little they can do to help us without the owners permission. Please save your time and frustration, take your business to one of the many great restaurants in Newark.

First time there since the new owner took over and I was a bit disappointed. I have been there several times in the past with no problems but now the staff just seems very confused. The renovations are great and the place looks nice, however they are very slow.

I had my baby shower here they cater the food for you. the banquet hall is a great size it fits about 150-200 people. the staff were wonderful they complied to anything we needed. they also had a stage and a dancing floor that was nice size
