Just got home from dinner with another couple and we were all disappointed in our meals. Three of the four main dishes were served on ice cold plates and by the time they got to our table the food was only slightly warm. We had to send them back for reheating and the fourth diner was finished with his meal before we got our plates back. Another complaint was the total lack of spice and flavor in the "fra diavalo" dish. Anyone ordering that sauce expects it to be spicy, if not, it would be just written as marinara sauce. Why call it something it is not. Also, I ordered a glass of wine which never appeared - but was certainly on our bill. What happened? We were thinking of a New Years reservation, but changed our minds.

it took about 20 mins to get menus after being seated. which usually isnt a big deal sometimes because they bring out bread... well not for us. my girlfriend and i ordered a 2 glasses of wine, the server came back with 1 glass of wine because the wine we ordered only had enough for 1 glass, "we only had enough for one so i dont know who wants it." instead of informing us they only had enough for one glass and giving us the option to have something else. food was bland. shrimp was fishy. we finally got bread after having to ask for it after our meals have came out. i wont be eating here again. its not worth the price in any way shape or form.

Not worth the price. And make sure they give you the bread. Our waiter didnt. We saw everyone else getting it so we asked him when he gave us the check. He said "oh, I never brought it? Sorry. Its really good bread too." Seriously!? That was so stunning all we can do is laugh about it now and we still reference it when we go to other places. The food is decent but way overpriced. I also would like to suggest that they DONT pair mashed sweet potatoes with marinara dishes. That was just weird and something Id recommend they do not do again.

We have had our parties catered from Villa Sorrento since 1996! Every party Sal puts together for us tops the next. He is so accommodating and flexible with the menu choices, he just wants you to be happy....and you will be. The last two parties we had were BBQs and the food and service were impeccable! It doesnt matter whether you spend $5 or $50,000, you get the same service. Thank you to the staff (Butch, Zach, and Sal), you guys were "THE BEST"!!!!!!!!!!

Weve been there before and were going back for Easter Sunday. We have always found food to be very good, service friendly and efficient and general atmosphere nice. Notice that the positive reviews have names and the one negative one is just "google user". Just got off the phone with the owner while making reservations - really, really nice guy.

One of my 3 favorite restaurants in Smithtown. I have been coming here for 14 years, never disappointed. Sal, Walter & John are great guys. It is a very nice place to dine.
