Four of us ate early on a weeknight, so there was no problem with crowds or finding a table. We ate inside, though the outdoor area looked inviting. The deck area is furnished with rough-sawn picnic tables, which might put off some people, but it fits the rustic decor theyve built. I thought the food was very good. The chips and salsa were good, but not unusual. My companions had the table-made guacamole; Im not a fan personally, but the consensus was that the flavors might combine better after resting. I had the tacos Pastor, and they were absolutely delicious. The sweetness of the pineapple and the heat of the peppers complemented each other quite well. They serve a choice of refried or black beans, which is a nice touch, if youre tired of the usual canned stuff. Service was friendly and efficient; there is a decent beer list, and the terrycloth towels in the restrooms is a nice touch. Ill be back. Thanks to Juggles for the tip about the parking lot. We found a spot on the street, but Ill remember that.

We had been to La Casa a few years ago and didnt like it. Everyone has been saying how great it is lately so we decided to give it another try last night. $130 dollars later, disappointed again. All 4 of us agreed, the salsa tasted like marinara, the guacamole had that dark tint that 2 day old guac has and tasted that way, and the queso fundido was absolutely awful. Our main meals were cold and just very okay. Even the margaritas were bad and we know margaritas. We didnt finish any of our food nor did we even want to take it home. We will not be going back to La Casa.

Went to La Casa for the first time today for Taco Tuesday...absolutely delicious! I had one pork, one brisket, and one chicken taco. If you read this, do yourself a favor and get some of these tacos. You can go today, or you can wait until the next Tuesday when they are $2.50..such a steal! The tortillas were nice and crispy, the meat was tender and flavorful, the spices were on point, and everything was held together by melted cheddar cheese. I could probably live off of these things. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

I usually always recommend La Casa, I love love love the food. BUT literally the last four time we have tried to go the host (same guy) basically turns us away. We dont mind waiting but his tone of voice and attitude has made us leave. I have worked in restaurants as a host and a server and he definitely isnt keeping people coming back. I never usually write and review and I am doing this as we leave the restaurant. We love the food but someone needs a new line of work...

I lived in southern California and have a pretty good grasp on what authentic Mexican food should be and definitely what it shouldnt. Having said that, I eat here 2-3 times a week and Ive never had a bad meal. I understand its a small kitchen and if I bring in a big party on taco tuesdays, it may take a little longer for the food to arrive. However, Im a patient person and Im never disappointed when it does. They have great drink specials and a solid, friendly barstaff.

I have been here several times for both lunch and dinner and the food has almost always been fantastic. The beer selection isnt very large, especially if you want a draft beer but the choices are usually pretty decent. The staff are always friendly but the service is always extremely slow. Even on slow the afternoons when they arent very busy, lunches tend to last at least two hours. I appreciate the quality of the food, but if youre short on time dont stop here.

Not worth eating here! Went lastnight got seated upstairs and was as hot as a kitchen everyone was sweating other tables also. Waited hour for food...which was straight awful, shrimp was over cooked and crazy spicy like didnt finish one piece of shrimp. I do like spicy food normally. Rice was overcooked and hard, Other tables were complaining... just go to moes for " Mexican". Well if ur just going for a beer its alright just dont waste ur money on food

First and last time ever going to this place along with all my co workers. Racist at its finest! who gets the tab before you even get your 1st drink and meal? When did this become the norm? I will tell EVERYONE i know to not go to this place! and i know lots of people. The treatment was disgusting and then the manager was even worse! what happen to customer service? people skills? Im giving you 0 starts but it wont let me post unless i give you at least 1.

DONT PARK IN THIER PARKING LOT IF YOU LIKE YOUR TIRES. park on the street. There is a nasty piece of metal sticking up from an old gate in the center of the entrance that could easily take out the sidewall of your tire(s). I pointed it out to a man who was either an employee or an owner and his response was "we have liability insurance" so I highly doubt this problem is going to be fixed. Unless he was joking he made it clear he didnt give a damn.

First time visiting and was pleased with the decor. However, the service was slow. Once we finally got our drink order, we ordered our dinners and had to wait over an hour for our food. While the entrees were good (although I got flour tortillas on my tacos rather than the requested corn) the rice and beans were cold. Overall, not a good experience that we will not be repeating.

Great place to grab tacos and other Hispanic blend foods. Only thing is, its great if your not in a hurry. Service is good, however slow. I say much worth the wait. So this is more of a place to come with a friend to catch up or on a date, since youll be waiting a bit. The chips and salsa they give is wonderful and will hold you over till the yummy food comes!

Excellent cocktails! During happy hour and Mondays and Wednesdays you can get certain drinks for only $5 - an excellent deal! Their guacamole and freshly made tortilla chips are amazing. Although their prices may seem high, this is the best Mexican food Ive eaten in Rochester. They also have outdoor seating, a cozy environment, and friendly staff.

What a hidden gem! The outdoor patio was awesome and the food was delicious. Starting with chips and salsa the rest of the food was good too. They had a wide variety of drinks was great. They also host events; one they were advertising was a Milagro Tequila Tasting. Only gave it a four out of five stars because of parking availability.

I went to La Casa on a Friday night for the first time and I was really wowd away by the delicious food as well as the margaritas! The only downfall was that service was pretty slow and our waiter was not that attentive. However it was a Friday night so understandable it was busy. Still a great Mexican place to try out in the area!

Ordered the La Casa Tacos. The food was amazing! Cute restaurant. Nice decor. The only reason Im giving it four stars is because the service was incredibly slow for a weekday lunch. Other than that, it was a great experience. **Not a lot of parking available. You can park for free in the lot on the corner of Alexander/S Clinton.
