We are regulars and invited our neighbors to dine with us. Their 3 year old ordered chicken tenders and asked for ranch dressing with them (rather than ketchup) and were charged 50 cents on the bill, which was a surprise. When they ordered fajitas, they received 2 tortillas with their meal. The server asked if they would like more tortillas, they said sure, thank you for offereing. They were charged 50 cents for that on the bill as well. Another random surprise. Additionally, the steak in the fajitas were so tough and disappointing, Pancho Villa lost two more customers, as we will not be back. We thought it was a great touch giving children balloons with the check. Every child in the restaurant was given a balloon, but our server never bothered. Our kids cried all the way home, which turned what we thought would be a great night, upside down. Too many restaurants in Stafford, we will definitely be finding a new regular dinner spot.

Out of all the locations, this and the Fredericksburg Plantation Drive/Rt 17 are the only 2 Ive had a more than positive experience at. Hands down my fav for chimichangas and have never been disappointed with food or service. As in my other review, the food is super amazing, the best is the fried chimichamga and the white cream sauce is to die for. Plenty of margarita choices, have in the past asked for extra spicy margaritas as the spicy one they have at least for a real mexican is not so spicy ;) but that doesnt mean the regular one isnt great as is, as one who can eat raw ghost chili peppets amd others, its not spicy enough for me, for more sensitive palates Im sure its sufficient, unfortunately I am not a good general judge of that except to say my first one was still good, but my visits after I requested a lot more spice added to my particular taste and was very pleased! I only wished I lived close enough to go more often!

Disappointed eating dinner with my family. Service was bad! Long wait after order was placed for an hour. Keep hunting for the waitress to come back and asked how long our meal be serve. Then she disappeared did not check on us again. I order salad with grilled Salmon after a few bites eating in the dark outside, I found out my fish was not fully cooked. It was serve to me raw and had to talked to manager about it instead he had an attitude justifying that they were busy with a big party group and expected me to accept his excuse to neglect others people eating in their restaurant. I came home sick vomiting. I would NOT!!! recommend this place to my other family and friends.

1) The foods not very good. Ive had better Taco Bell. The ground beef smells like cat food. Ive been more than once, thinking Id give it another try, and both times my food came out cold. Very, very bland. 2) The relative price of the food is high for very low quality food. 3) Service was slow and otherwise sub-par both times (waitress disappeared after meal was ordered, food busser served meals, never saw waitress again until she was called over for the check). 4) El Gran Charro is, like, a mile away, cheaper, has better service consistently, has better drinks, and has MUCH better food. Why ever go here when there is much better just down the road?

Good food, good selection for drinks, and good staff. I would recommend this restaurant if you are going on a date, small outing of friends, or even by yourself. With that said it is not a fancy place, so it can be casual; dont go there in super casual clothes that you would wear to the laundry mat or the beach unless you want to be the topic of conversations at the other booths and tables. Now back to the food, the food is modern Tex-Mex food. If you want real Mexican food, youre better off trying to have a best friend that is 2nd generation and going over to their house to have their abuelas cooking.

Had dinner there on Sunday night! Seating was prompt and wait staff was very friendly and tentative although it wasnt very busy. Very nice ambiance. There are clouds and birds painted on the ceiling and windows of oceans and houses painted by the seating on the right. Made a veggie fajita salad for me. Even though I told them I was allergic to dairy there was a few strands of melted white cheese that made it into the dish. The grilled veggies were soaked in grease. I used three napkins to get it off. I would definitely go back though as it was a great atmosphere and very friendly!

This review is for one time of multiple times i have been there. It was May 11 2014, I went to eat there for lunch. I walked in with my pregnant wife. We were greeted and seated right away. Then we waited for 15 minutes without being asked for anything.None of the servers came to serve us. To note that at the time it was not busy. I was very disappointed and upset because the previous times I was there I had a good time and my pregnant couldnt eat when she was supposed to. Bad service.

Perhaps it is due to their historical location away from a large population center in the byways of Virginia and being forced to cater to the tastes of customers unfamiliar with Mexican food but I found what they served to be very mediocre. The salsa served with chips was barely more than a watery tomato juice. I ordered Huevoes Rancheros and the red sauce, like the salsa, was dull and pretty much tasteless. Their sign out front noted that they served "FAGITAS".

I had a soda and the veggie fajitas. As a vegetarian, I had a lot of choices. I prefer warmed chips at mexican places, but really a totally minor quibble. Loved the salsa that came with the chips (all free) mild but very flavorfull. Guac made tableside, on a friends tab, was awesome. It is $8 for a small but get it, it is worth every penny. And the sevice was the best Ive had in a restaurant in a long time.

Absolutely horrible food. DO NOT ORDER ANY ENCHILADA. I walked out and told everyone who came in not to order it. They used a thin corn tortilla with very little ground beef and liquid cheese. It was obvious they ran out of food and just threw it together. Someone across from me had real cheese and thicker tortillas.

This is as I know it to be the flagship restaurant in what has become a mini chain under the same banner. Standard Mexican fare, great service and atmosphere. Good price points. Easy and quick lunch options. The fun part is the table side guacamole production which adds a unique touch to a meal.

I love the place! The tortilla chips are warm and chunchy and the salsa has a nice tang to it. The Mexican Paella was hot but had an awesome spiciness to it. Not too spicy, just right to enjoy. The Mrs. loved her Fish Tacos and said they were the bomb. I recommend the place to everyone!

Ordered carne asada and chicken tortillas. The food was excellent margaritas are amazing. Took a star off for the tortillas. They are very bland and have almost no taste. Tried corn and flour and both were very bland. However everything else was awesome we will be coming back for sure.
