Came here with a group of 4 on Mothers day and had made reservations a few days prior. No issues getting a reservation. Two of us had arrived a little early and they were kind enough to seat us, mainly because we had an infant with us. Our table was already ready so there was really no issue being seated. The floor manager was really nice and accommodating. The other staff members we interacted with were also very pleasant. We ordered the guacamole for appetizer and for our main dishes, we ordered the shrimp, chorizo, and chicken fajitas, and I ordered the Tampiquena (medium rare). For the fajitas, I just tried the main ingredient. I didnt bother trying the different types of tortillas. The shrimps were well seasoned, moderate size, but was a little over cooked. However, the dish was flavorful. The chicken was a little dry (my least favorite out of the 3). My favorite was the chorizo. It had the right combination of fat, spice, and seasoning. The vegetables helped complement the dish. Out of the 3, I would recommend the chorizo. For the Tampiquena, I ordered it medium rare and to my surprise, it was cooked perfectly. It was perfectly seasoned and the rest of the dish balanced it out. The rolled corn tortilla filled with cheese was good but the tortilla was really too thick for the dish. There was a green sauce next to it, Im assuming some kind of salsa verde. It wasnt as refreshing and lacked some kick to it. Overall, this dish was my favorite of the night. As for drinks, I had one of their mojitos and I thought they did a great job with the drink. They didnt skimp out on the ingredients, enough alcohol for me (but Im sure some people would prefer it to be stronger). It was refreshing. I highly recommend it. Overall, I liked the place a lot. Not sure why it only got 3 stars. There are some minor details that can be improved upon but I thought their food was fairly spot on. Very flavorful and appropriate portion size. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Ill keep this one short. Im a BIG fan of Mexican food. It is one of those that can stuff you for days and you enjoy every bite... ... except for this particular place. Service is okay, and honestly, the bar tender and the buser were the ones that earn the service star. Food was okay, but dont expect a great banquet. The star was given because it came out pretty fast, which I always appreciate. The lost stars: music was too loud. Literally I could hear it from one block away and I had my headphones on, so bye bye for mood setting; although the place was very clean. Quality of food, nothing too impressive to make me go back; if you think a taco cant go wrong, well, think again. Last one, is that the staff is not aware of their surroundings and were more looking forward to each other. Would I come back? Probably not. And if I do, I wont have the tacos.

Waiters were very pushy and not knowledgeable. Got the fajitas and in my first pack of tortillas, there was a cut off fingertip of a rubber glove. Quietly told a waitress and asked for another pack of tortillas. In that one too, ANOTHER rubber glove finger. So gross. Got an apology from the manager, but when I told the waitress she tried to make it not a big deal and maybe I imagined it. Said they had someone in training doing the tortillas. Fine, but he cuts off he tips of his gloves and keeps working? How many dishes did he touch with broken gloves/unsanitary hands? How many other glove tips are there floating around. Food was definitely not good enough or well priced enough, along with bullying service to bother going back.

I was bummed when my 22$ shrimp disk came out with only seven shrimp and "elote" rice. It was white rice, I was expecting rice with crema, lime and some cotija cheese. Nah, just white rice. The dish didnt have much flavor either. My wife ordered the veggie enchiladas which was a frozen vegetable pack you get in the supermarket wrapped in deep fried breading. We also got a quesedilla which was unimpressive. Its probably good for drinks. There were a bunch of people at the bar and they have a kitschy ambiance.

have been here a few times for happy hour and with friends for dinner, gave it a 4 star because the manager is a good guy that says hello every time Im there and the food is good. I see that in some of their reviews The service has been mentioned as declining but i know is hard to keep up with the high service expectation of the Astoria clientele. I will keep coming and enjoying their happy hour, amazing brunch, food and disregard the small service mishaps that occur in every single restaurant in NYC.

I want to like this place but I just cant. Been here twice. The consistency just isnt there. The food is either good or not so good. The service is either awesome or not so good. The only thing that is consistent is that its very expensive Mexican food. Two apps, an entre, fries, a beer and three sodas: $76 before tip. It would have been better if the mariachi band wasnt blaring in our faces.

Was there on Friday July 1st. The mohito I ordered was pure lime with mint leaves. The quesadilla was disgusting and the slake fajitas tasted like can food. The guacamole was good though because but it cant go wrong unless you try it. We ended up going to Maccans where the food is so much better and the service is excellent.

Definitely a go to spot for brunch! They have a $25 bottomless brunch that is unbeatable. The food is exactly what you would expect with bottomless but its a great spot for groups! Also, the wait staff is very accommodating and attentive to when your drinks are running low.

We stopped in drinks. The ambiance is nice, the music needs to improve. Pedro the bartender was very friendly and made descent Margaritas. The price for a Margarita was $15.00 which I thought was a bit high for a Queens place and not an outrageously delicious Margarita.

This was an awful experience. The waitress was awful. Took her 20 minutes to come over to us and she avoided is the whole meal, yet hung around when we got the check. The food was ok. The restaurant was empty. Will not be coming back.

Tasty blend of classics and more modern takes and Mexican foods. Great tequila focused cocktails, has an all you can drink brunch option.

Food was good, waiter was polite. Margarita was delicious and atmosphere was loud but fine. A bit pricey though. But, I will go again.

They just opened so they still need to improve their service. They forgot our appetizer and the drinks were a little bit expensive
