On August 28, 2016, I visited Montezuma Restaurant with boyfriend and some friends to celebrate a birthday during happy hour. Happy hour was from 3pm until 10pm that day. Initially, my boyfriend and I had a male bartender that did a horrible job of providing service. He was very inattentive so we gave him around a three dollar tip. We then requested service from Alex. We were drinking $5 long island iced teas and frozen strawberry margaritas for $6.50, which we ordered before 10PM. The drinks were good and reasonably priced; however; we ended up with a bill for $76.80 at exactly 10:04 PM. Can someone please explain this to me? That bill also included a $9.30 service charge (tip for the waiter). How did we get charged full price for 3 drinks in 4 minutes that were ordered at least 15 minutes before 10PM? I dont appreciate when people play games with my money. I still have my receipt.

the worse experience ever ! when my family and I went inside,the waitress didnt even acknowledge us when we just wanted to get a table . after 5 min of waiting standing up we decided to sit where ever was an empty table . we literally got ther at 3pm and we waiting more than 45 Min JUST to order our food .-______- Can you imagine how long we waited for the food ?? when we finally receive the food they did not bring us everything we order including the drinks and my food had a hair inside . can it get even worse ??? YES ?!!!!! WHEN my brother stand up to use the restroom one of the waitress spill the drinks on top of him . we were looking forward to have a good time but we all end up leaving very upset . I would never EVER visit this restaurant again in y life .

The menu online and the one in the restaurant are not the same. They should change that. The food took over 30 minutes to come while another couple that came way after us received their food before us. And to charge ten dollars for a small glass of mimosa was a robbery. The carnitas were so overcooked that the meat was dry , hard and chewy. Weve been waiting to eat there for a while and it was a major disappointment. Too dark and music a bit too loud. We will not be going there ever again.

I visit montes at least 3 times a month. i read some one said they ordered mozzarella sticks and dint get marinara sauce......well what do you expect it is a mexican resturant next time order the taquitos which are freaking awesome you dont go to a pizzeria and order the guacamole! the drinks are good , margaritas are awesome theyve started to have the music lower recently. it is dark and very romantic. good for dates. if you go try the taquitos extra guac!!!

I was on a date, we got 3 frozen Margarita, 1 steak fajita & 1 fajita completa. The bill came out to $106.. not what I expected considering that I had paper napkins and not even top shelf margaritas. I cant believe they can get away with those prices and service. Must that regulars here never went to Manhattan

Me and my husband came to this place after so many years away and it was the worse decision of our life. Their food was over salted and terrible. The waiter we had tryed to rush us through our whole meal. I couldnt believe how terrible this place has gotten. Never again.

Excellent spot to chill and have a good drink...new bartender with the hot body has a bad attitude and sucks at her job...she must b replaced...looking good and she does that very well isnt everything...its about the customers we pay the bills.

Nice bar, Great live Music!, Good for drinks. The food is not great but i still give a 5 stars, is a great place to go and have a drink and listen music. Valet parking. Nice atmosphere, Bartenders are very experienced! Love Montezuma!

i love the drinks .. love the atmosphere..music is great i can get a little crowded but it seems like everyone is having a good time so its all in fun.. authentic food great drinks ppl have a blast what more can you ask for..

They only like to serve "certain" people. When I went there everyone acted like they just got off the boat and couldnt speak English. Then they wanted to charged us by the minute for the hookah plus $15 for a refill.

Great place to unwind n relax. Live music on the weekends. Bartenders Angela n Alex make delicious drinks and theyre fast. Food is really good, just stay away from the chicken tenders (not too tasty)

Music way too loud for dining, on an Easter Sunday some of the hostesses are rude appetizer and entree took way too long to be served, Im disappointed my last visit was excellent, wont be back

Great atmosphere especially after a hard day of work. They always draw a crowd. Drinks are on point. My favorite is the Golden Margarita.... And the Montezuma Mussels!!
