We were in Poughkeepsie, NY for a sporting event. It was easy to decide on Crew Restaurant & Bar. Our Google searches always brought up Crew as a top contender in all categories of our interest. Our hotel (Hampton Inn & Suites) listed Crew as their first choice on their "restaurants in the city" list. We arrived without a reservation on a Friday evening with a party of 6. The hostess and wait staff were accommodating and kept us posted on options and availability during our short wait. The entire experience was pleasant from the beginning till the end. Our waitress, Kristen, was fun and knowledgeable. Lets not forget to talk about the food...!!! Every single thing we all ordered was amazing! The appetizers were delicious! We had the steamed clams, Ahi tuna and brussel sprouts. The dinners were amazing. The Duck was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. The pasta dish was recommended, and did not disappoint. The chef spiced it up perfectly, per my request! Every one of our dinner plates was completely cleaned off. Compliments to the chef! One comment would be that both of the dinner specials were sold out by 7pm, so get there early to enjoy the best of what the chef has to offer. We enjoyed our overall experience that we decided to return the next evening for late night cocktails and appetizers. We highly recommend Crew Restaurant & Bar.

We went for dinner with friends who had given us a gift certificate. From what we had heard, Crew was a "wonderful and innovative restaurant". My husband ordered the steak frites and I ordered one of the nights specials, a lasagna with hand-made noodles, chicken and a bechamel sauce. The waitress told me that I was lucky because I had ordered the last serving. The top of the lasagna was hard and crusty. I had trouble cutting it with a knife. The cheese was burnt and the inside, instead of a creamy filling, consisted of a dry, overcooked bechamel sauce. I believe it had been reheated past an acceptable point (maybe under a salamander) before serving. After the first few bites I should have sent it back and ordered another dish, but I didnt. The saving grace was the wait staff and dessert. The waitresses (one regular and one in training) were upbeat and attentive. The cheesecake of the day was paired with a lemon sauce and was delicious.

I travel to Poughkeepsie, NY frequently for work and most times find myself at Crew. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and youre always greeted with a friendly smile from the hostess. I typically sit at the kitchen bar, watching the cooks do their thing. The food is always delicious, and the owner keeps the options fresh and seasonal. The owner is always there too, greeting guest, grilling steaks or teaching his staff the proper techniques. I cannot say enough good things about this place, well worth the price and experience. The only critical part of this review is the lack of standing room by the host stand. Everything else kills it. Cheers!

We were saying in Poughkeepsie after visiting the FDR museum in Hyde Park and tried Crew for dinner. It was wonderful. The place was a bit loud with the after-work crowd at the bar, but the atmosphere was pleasant and our server was very good. She was attentive to my wifes dairy allergy and even found some sorbet for her dessert. The food was delicious, as was the microbrew that they had on tap. I would definitely recommend this place.

Crew always delivers. The menu has some popular standards-like Steak Frites, but this chef-owned restaurant really excels at tasty dishes using locally sourced ingredients. It really makes a difference in the taste. The wait staff is friendly and professional. The bar offers seasonal drink specials, like fresh apple cider martinis. And the atmosphere is cool, fun and laid back.

Sandwiched between a sports bar and a hobby shop, we almost almost didnt walk in to go somewhere less sketchy. Dont make that mistake, go in! Party of 5, we were seated promptly, had great service, and the food was executed well. Put simply, this place is the standard for what all mid range American style bar & grills should be.

One of the greatest experience Ive had in a restaurant in Poughkeepsie, our waitress was very kind, the food was like from heaven, everything was very flavorful from appetizer to dessert. My favorite part was seeing the chefs cook, I really wish I could give you 6 stars. Great job Crew!

Dont judge a book by its cover - unassuming strip mall exterior, upscale wine bar interior. Nice menu with gourmet selections and some traditional stand-bys for the less adventurous. Great wine list. Cordial culinary staff - sit by the kitchen and get the scoop!

Great food in a spot you can easily miss if youre not looking for it. Just look for the huge Half Time signs and pull in. There is a small menu, but the daily specials are my go to. Great service and the food is always terrific. Worth the effort to find.

Theres a place at the back, kind of private where couple or couple with baby may dine. Staff are friendly and accommodating. However, it took maybe 20-25 mins before our food arrived. My soap and pasta were both too salty, though.

I love Crew. Relaxed, easy, not very expensive. I can always eat even if I dont have a reservation, I can just sit at the counter. I like the counter even more if Im eating by myself. Chinese Chicken Salad is my favorite.

Nice place, good decor, refreshing non-chain restaurant on Rt 9. Only have been here for lunch. Each time, food was great, good sales and wraps. Staff is prompt and courteous. Good place.

Been here many times and always had some great meals. The beer selection is top notch and Ithaca Flower Power is always on tap! Sometimes Ive experienced slow service but no other complaints.
