My Wife and I always come here to eat. The people there know us, and we usually come late on Fridays and Saturdays because I get out of work late, and we know the kitchen is open. We always sit in the back room without an issue, and we do NOT drink alcohol, we just order food and soda. My Wife and I have spent a lot of money at the Trestle, as well as our family members, and other friends who he have recommended. Last night, at around 11:20-11:30 pm, we went to the Trestle with a group of friends. We noticed the lights to the back room were dimmed very low, almost to the point where we thought the back room was closed. As we entered the Trestle, my Wife asked if the back room was open, and the waitress said that the back room was still open. I went to the rest room as everyone was being SEATED and HANDED Menus. When I returned from the rest room, my Wife and friends were all standing, and told me that we were asked to leave because 1 person in our group was 20 years old, and they claimed they needed to be 21 after 10 pm to sit in the back room........What? Apparently the waitress CARDED everyone at the table, which I find hilarious because we only went there to eat, NOT to drink. The people who usually work there KNOW that my Wife and I DO NOT DRINK! No one in our party drinks alcohol, period. So basically, you have to be 21 to eat food in the back room after 10 pm? After we left, I got in the car and called the Trestle to find out from the staff WHY this is a problem. The waitress who answered the phone said its been a rule since shes been working there, to which I replied that Ive been going there for 2 years now, and Ive never had that happen at all. We used to go with the SAME group of people to the Trestle after 10 pm and sit in the back in the past, and this was never an issue. After talking over me repeating herself over and over again like a robot, I decided to let her know I had no choice but to leave a negative review, and I hung up the phone. Almost everyone in our party left their reviews on google and yelp last night after the fact, while we had no choice but to go eat the Alexis Diner. I like supporting small businesss and the Trestle had some great food in my opinion, but to be turned away for wanting to eat food is NOT good business. Even if they were concerned about the person in our group who was 20 years old, they could have simply said that due to a person being under 20, no alcohol can be served to our table. That would have been 100% acceptable, because again, NONE OF US DRINK! Its sad because I can no longer support the Trestle after this, and I have no choice but to tell all of my friends and family who live in Cornwall, and I really didnt want to leave a negative review, but again, when you treat customers like this, it must be addressed. Whoever answered the phone last night when I called the Trestle, treated me like I was an inferior and NOT a customer. That just adds more insult to injury in my opinion. In closing, I hope management sees this and re-trains their staff, because the situation last night was handled horribly, especially since we are long time customers. Thank You.

Unprofessional and immature Went for a quick drink one night, ended up talking with a young guy who was drunk and wanted to start trouble with other patrons. I talked him out of it and walked him home. Upon return the two girls working didnt want to let me back in. What a joke!. You cant have teenage girls running youre bar at night. Makes youre place look young, dumb, and trashy. Not what i expected for Cornwall.

Great location in an underserved area of Orange County. This is a great historic building (former move theater) that is ripe for improvement. Yes, is it s good bar now, but not the place I want to stay for dinner. They need an imaginative chef, interesting bar menu and keep the prices reasonable and they will have a winner.

Me and my friends were just in their and one of our friends was asked to leave because he was not 21. We were not in the bar, we were in the back area and never had to show id. My friend even got sick from your mozzarella sticks. Unprofessional.

I came to the Trestle to have a few drinks after a day of hiking Storm King Mountain. The regulars in the bar were very awesome and it had a good atmosphere. Would come here again if Im in the area.

Awful customer service. Gave this place another try after I had a relative get sick and vomit after eating their mozzarella sticks. Was treated rudely. Will never be there again.

Ive only been here twice since it is new. I like the friendly atmosphere and the choice of beer on tap. Can;t say anything about the dinners yet but the snacks are good.

A fun place for casual dining. The main dishes change weekly. Pool table, darts and TVs for sports. A nice bar as well.
