First and last time here. We walked into a completely empty place, which I guess should have been the first warning, but hey you never know. Of the four people working we could see, (including a bartender and waitstaff) nobody greeted us or asked if we would like a table. We had to go looking for someone to ask if we could eat dinner. Not a huge deal, but shows the lack of attention to customer service that we experienced the rest of the night. We ordered fish and chips, sea bass, and a cocktail. I must say the cocktail was pretty good, and while the fish and chips werent bad, I certainly wouldnt order them again. Regarding the sea bass...at $34 I was very surprised by the tiny portion I received. It smelled a bit strange, but not bad. When I went to cut it I found out why - it was completely rare and uncooked in the center. The waitress did say she was sorry for that, however no manager came over to apologize or at least offer to comp the single cocktail we ordered. We just had them take the dish away, but were surprised when the check came to us with incorrect charges on it (keep in mind we are the only people in the place eating), which we had to point out to get fixed. I will say the view of the marina and ferry was nice from the dining room, and the cocktail was good, which is where the stars come from. If youre going for drinks, it might not be a bad choice, but Id rather go to a place with great drinks, great service, and great food - all of which can be found in the area. I hope someone steps up and makes this place great, as the potential is there in the location. ***After reading the other reviews I see that our night was not a bad exception, as I had hoped, but rather the standard experience. This is disappointing.

During late spring or early summer, take a table out and if you want to dine at a certain time, be sure to get reservations. The food was excellent, salad have a generous heaping of dressing, the burgers were cooked to our request : their WAVE Salmon Burger and the french fries were delivered just right, crisp, a friend ordered Naan Bread Trio - just right and the Wedge salad while sinfully rich with Blue cheese, just hit the spot. The wine, champagne and beer were chilled well. All in all, an excellent dining experience ... as was expected since it has been voted many times as a top restaurant. We dine here whenever we go across from Connecticut. a dining tip worth sharing....

This place NEVER gets it. Was taken here even though I told people its not good! However, they wanted to try it. It took 20 minutes for us to be recognized. The food for two of us came out cold and inedible. I had to ask the waitress if our food was left on a table for pickup. Yep, just put there and expecting it to walk over to our table by itself. No offer of a free drink, a complimentary dessert. Manager did not come over as requested. We should have walked out. Well, we didnt tip and they know WHY!. How can you serve cold, inedible food? How this place stays in business is beyond my comprehension.

The perfect place to impress someone special on a day trip from Connecticut. Just a few feet from where the Port Jefferson ferry drops you off, the outdoor deck offers amazing views of the harbor while you listen to live music. Our server was attentive and very friendly. The BBQ shrimp appetizer was amazing. The Tidal Wave martini was fantastic and the lobster was cooked to perfection. We topped it off with a peanut butter brownie desert. It was an excellent, but admittedly expensive dining experience. Would definitely recommend.

Very disappointed. I learned my lesson trying this place again. I dont mind paying a lot of money for a great, gourmet meal. This place is not great, gourmet food. The food is mediocre at best. Paying $42 for a filet mignon thats the size of my fist and tastes like nothing is ridiculous. The food is overpriced and terrible for what you pay. The only reason it gets 2 stars is for the nice outdoor patio on the water. We were quite unhappy when we left and will not be back. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

I am the owner one of company in Long Island NY. Great!... They have the best server (Matt) with delicious fresh sea foods. Young guy really surprised us. And the foods are great. Thank you... Mozzarella salad is great (with real fresh and delicious mozzarella) and you have to try cream brûlée ... Thank you Matt :) young and perfect server and thank you (kitchen) for the great food.

As a local, I should have known better than to go here [again], but I really wanted to eat outside. My $16, no frills cheeseburger tasted as though it had been cooked on a dirty outdoor grill. The service was good and the atmosphere was typical Port Jeff, but the food was just plain bad both times I have eaten here. I think I learned my lesson this time.

Great location right on the water BUT the food was awful and not worth it. A $44 dollar steak that looked like it was microwaved, calamari with ZERO TASTE & not to mention the menu was very limited. Mind you we sat outside and Im not sure if there is a different menu indoors but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Horrible. We waited 1.5 hours for a burger. Ordered it medium and got it rare. The asparagus was cold with no flavor at all. We had to ask for bread after an hour just to hold us over. Worst place ever. Oh, and there was a bug in my drink that was not removed until 1.5 hours later. Do not recommend this place at all.

Good service and somebody take care of the kitchen very good.. they make oven fresh bread every time, not microwave real fresh! Specially mozzarella cheese really fresh and delicious, you can feel really milk taste. Sirloins very tender and delicious..

Underwhelming service, underwhelming food, underwhelming menu. Overwhelming prices. Probably the only time Ive ever wanted to dine n dash. Prices made me sick to my stomach. The food was okay but no where near worth the prices. Never again.
