The woman who answered the phone needs a lesson in customer service! She was downright nasty with me. I can understand if it is loud in your kitchen but thats no reason to treat me like a punk. Hers an excerpt: Me: "Can I order two student specials?" Woman: "HELLOO!" Me: "Can I order two student specials?" Woman: "Two student specials?!" Me: "Ill have two wonton soups, two pork fried rices, and - " Woman: "What are you talking about - WONTON SOUP?!" Me: "Yes, for the two student specials - " Woman: "Order main coarse FIRST!!" Real nice way to talk to potential customers. I guess times are good for them and they can afford it. Get a new person on the phone and I might consider trying again, but there are plenty of other games in town.

Best chinese food in the area. A new place opened closer to our home, so we stopped ordering from Lan Wo. Decided to go back because the new place isnt very good. WOW. I have never had a dish with HUGE pieces of WHITE MEAT chicken like I got from Lan Wo. FANTASTIC. General Tsos combo was loaded with these huge pieces of WHITE MEAT Chicken breast. Fried rice was tasty too. Egg roll was crunchy and tasty too. Hot and Sour soup was very good but a little too spicy. Fried Dumplings were Amazing!! I wont go anywhere else again..

The lady who answer the phone is terrible!!!! She keep asking the same thing again and again. And she keeps going "I cant hear you" "HellOOOOOO" "Do you hear me??????" "You need to speak louder" blah blah while in fact, theres somebody yelling besides her and talk like a mega-radio while I make the order. If you dont want to repeat yourself like an idiot or you dont like to yell in the telephone, be wise and skip this place!

Well, theres one thing I want to say about this place: their fried rice is good. Other than that, its pretty much the same with the other chinese place. They have few tables to sit and eat. What I dont like the most is the owners attitude towards the guest. I really dont like the way treat their customers; theyre not very kind at all. I wouldve given better rating if they were kinder.

I have been getting my Chinese food from Lan Wo for at least 15 years and its been great every time. I have tried other places but always let disappointed with them and always came back to Lan Wo. Best Chinese food within a 20 mile radius of Stony Brook! Highly recommended!

Moo Shu Pork is excellent. You can get extra pancakes.They dont use MSG. Yes, hard to understand at times on phone, but theyve never screwed up my order. Havent tried too much else, except Spring Rolls, so I hesitate to give it 5 stars, but so far, thats my opinion.

Just had some General Tsos chicken (real chicken and not the processed chicken-like meat they serve at other places) from their student special menu. Included pork fried rice, egg roll, wonton soup - all very good quality Chinese food.

The service sucks. Very rude. Ordered lunch special in restaurant - did not get the eggroll. Rude woman says I did not order lunch special. I should have gone next door to get soup with dumplings.
