What a lovely spot! Though the Secret Garden is not large, its one of Port Jeffersons delightful surprises. The decor is elegant and its full of floral motifs and cool pastels, which make for an extremely pleasant dining experience. Although the place is tastefully decorated and the teapots are charming and the prices are extremely reasonable. The panini that I ordered was cooked to perfection and came with a fresh salad. Although the food was good, the best part of my experience was the excitement that came when I saw the extensive tea menu, there were many to choose from, but I had a chocolate mint tea, which the waitress told me would taste exactly like a mint chocolate girl scout cookie, and she was right! It was the perfect drink to go along with my meal. If youre feeling a bit Downton Abbey after eating, go towards the back of the store you can try on their melange of hats and both adults and children alike can play dress up! Thinking of bringing my mother back here for their Mothers day special.

My friend and I were soooo looking forward to having a lovely tea here, and we were so incredibly disappointed with the strange and awful way the staff treated us. Will NEVER go back. We stopped in for tea and waited to be seated. Normal, right? The lady at the counter totally ignored us and totally ignored our attempts to get her attention. OK. Not a problem. There were two servers in the dining room resetting tables. Of course seat us, right? They also ignored our attempts to get their attention. One of them even made eye contact with us, and just walked away. So, we seated ourselves. The two servers continued to reset tables in the dining room. After they did this for a few minutes (not kidding here) one of them finally stopped by the table to inform us that they were no longer serving tea that day. Seriously? And the message wasnt even delivered very nicely. Im thinking that basic customer service training is in order. BIG time! Or maybe just a complete overhaul. Pathetic.

If you are into antiques, drinking tea, finger sandwiches and awesome desserts this is the place for you. Food and teas are to die for,, , they are sooooo good. Service,, teapots, plates, cups and saucers (no two are alike) and the decorations in the room are breathtaking.. The hats and boas (provided on the premises) are fun to try on and wear while enjoying all of the delicacies. Taking pictures are a must to remember your visit. The front part of the place is the store area where there are all kinds of items for purchase.. The two restrooms are must visit even if just to see how beautiful they are decorated. A great place to celebrate a special event or just to go with a friend. You will not regret the visit.

We have been going to tea here since shortly after they opened. The food is always made to order fresh and never dull. There are hats in the back for you to "get your tea on" in style. Of all the times we have been there, we have never been disappointed, never had a bad meal and all the wait staff are friendly and polite. It feels like you are being cared for in style with attention to detail. They have brilliantly taken care of my God Daughters birthday each year, being able to accommodate our group of 13 with beautiful care and no worries. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to tea, here.

This place is fantastic! In the storefront that was once the infamous Moores - a gourmet deli I grew up on - I do hope that the Secret Garden sticks around. The food is tasty, service is great, the tea selection is extensive, and the environment is fun! They have sweet hats you can dress up in during your high tea experience. I would recommend checking this place out!

A really great experience for women of all ages. Love the presentation and atmosphere. Dress well though! Prices are a little high, but you are paying for the experience also. Would recommend for a demure bridal shower or an event with your niece or daughter as they get older.

Found this hidden treasure on my first excursion to Port Jefferson. Unfortunately we were too late for the last seating. Ill definitely be back to experience this place.

Very Nice standard tea fare - with one GLARING shortcoming - they charge you TWICE for the high tea - tea for two is 70$??? ridiculous - dont bother -

Very cute and charming place. A little pricey but the overall ambiance and special character of the place make it worthy to visit.
