There is nothing like Tiger Lily. Port Jefferson born, the village really benefits from this amazing, unique, delicious, creative place. I am a regular here and have tried and enjoyed countless items on the menu! Despite the negative reviews about women working the counter, I find them quite friendly and have developed relationships with most. Just pay attention to when youre next in line, be clear about your order, be kind and respectful!... Menu caters to all with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. You are not limited to the quite extensive list of wraps on the wall, but check out the glass case for what other dishes they have available: you can make your own wrap with any of the tuna salads or amazing chicken salads (oriental sesame is the best!) when they have it. Sometimes it is super busy and seating can be a struggle, other times (mid-day on a week day, for example), it is quiet and intimate. Cash-only prices are fair (do any of those criticizing have an idea of what it costs to rent in Port Jefferson Village?), this place is a gem. While I am on that, why do so many people expect an Internet cafe? This place is not, and does not claim to be. It is not a multi-billion-dollar Starbucks, it is costly (drives away a constant stream of customers and additional business) for a small establishment to have people occupying seats on their computers for hours on end. I do not blame them for discouraging that...

This is a great little place for locals and tourists alike (although locals get to enjoy this place in the off-season, when its a lot easier to snag a seat on the trendy outside balcony thats usually buzzing with newcomers.) I dont have anything but mostly positive words for this place. Its situated on a really idyllic street in the already quaint port town of Port Jefferson and before you even get to the food portion of the place, you get hit with a very alternative wave of ambiance, decor, and atmosphere. From the shabby chic velvet couch that greets you when you walk in, to the kooky cool mismatched tables and chairs and intimate sitting area in the far back, this place does not lack in atmosphere. The staff is friendly and cool, and the food is typically solid with a decent range of selection. Bonus points: its vegan friendly and offers a great selection of choices instead of doing the bare minimum like so many other places do. My only critique is that they dont switch their wraps up enough and have a habit of putting way too much sauce/mayo on everything even if you ask them to go light. It would also be nice if they offered gluten-free, wheat free, low carb choices since their so accommodating with vegan options. Other than that, this is a great place for a quick bite to eat with friends.

Great place to eat, very interesting quality food. The atmosphere is very warm and offbeat and the staff is always extremely friendly. Their warm food is made right when you order it and the cold salads in the case by the counter are one of my favorite lunch items anywhere! Theres also a smoothie menu on the wall opposite the register - its easy to miss the first time through but they make much better drinks than the "McSmoothie" places. It is a little pricey, but its definitely worth it - I would eat here every day for lunch if I worked in the area (and could afford it). Lastly, despite what Google says, they are open til 5pm in the winter and 6pm spring-fall

Not a coffee centric café, coffee seems 2nd or 3rd in priority after teas/health drinks and food. Their cold fruit and coffee based blended drinks are great on a hot summer day, but they serve their espresso (which is not too bad) in over sized paper cups... not the way espresso should be consumed. I was hoping Tiger Lilly would be the type of café I could sit at for hours and read or do work, but their lack of great coffee combined with their lack of wifi means this will just be a place I visit from time to time. All that said, it is still a great place to stop for a sandwich, salad, or drink and the workers are all friendly and helpful.

Tiger Lily Cafe is a good place to go for vegan and vegetarian choices they also have regular food items on the menu as a vegan I simply tolerate this place because I dont have too many options 4 restaurants with vegan choices nearby but the owner has a very bad attitude shes never very friendly and God forbid you tried to divert from the menu even a little bit you automatically get an attitude she has no business being in customer service she actually makes me feel uncomfortable and I am the friendliest person youll ever know she needs to stay home and hire someone who is friendly to work her counter because I hear it from locals as well

If you are in the area and looking for a place, specifically to meet a mindful set of dietary or lifestyle values, look somewhere else. With no effort for sustainability, local economic support or fair trade consumption, this place is at best like someone who shaves their head and decides to call themselves punk. Its an embarrassing attempt to be counter culture through image and distraction offering nothing of actual value in its own cultural endeavors. Please, go to a place that works hard to only support quality companies with sound business practices, this is a dressed up Deli.

I am in love with this cafe. Everything here is delicious. My faves are the Eggplant Hummus Sandwich, Sesame Tofu Wrap and Raspberry-Mango-Soy Smoothie. Im drooling right now just thinking about them. The walls are covered in beautiful art and murals. The seating is eclectic bohemian and the new back porch & outdoor seating just adds to the overall awesomeness. The chef is a genius and the staff are all super nice. I moved cross country a few years ago so when I am home I literally visit Tigerlily 5 or 6 times a week. Gosh I miss this place. Do not pass up a visit here.

Nice little place to catch a quick bite thats recently got more popular now that its always packed. Pretty good food with delicious frozen frappes. Theres also food on the menu with real meat for those that would rather eat that even though this is a vegan spot. The people dont really smile much but it depends who you get. Some are actually nice but sadly enough the majority really dont smile. Lastly its CASH ONLY which sucks because my gf and I would probably come here a lot more if they took card even though theres an ATM on the premises.

Tiger Lily is a gem. The food is AMAZING, the JUICES are awesome for you, I do a double shot of Wheatgrass a day. The staff is great they get to know your diet needs and will let you know if something you order may trigger and allergy. Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, Organic Chicken! ALso the veggie burger tastes like a whopper. I go everyday, I have lost over 80 pounds and feel great, Tiger Lily saved my life. I was in hospital with stomach cramps weekly. Since eating their I have only had episodes if I dont eat right and go their.

Bad service, unfriendly staff. Served me real fish salad, when I asked for vegetarian chicken salad. They never apologized nor offered to give me my money back or for me to pick out something else. .... ive been vegetarian/ vegan for 20 years and the last thing I expected was to bite into a fish sandwich! ! I was shocked and upset and basically the owner did not care. ..thats not how you operate a business. Dont waste your time if you want good service, or good food, or expect to get what you ordered. ... Vegetarians/vegans beware! !!
