Personally my favorite diner, heres why. First, the atmosphere is spot on for what you expect of a diner, and they play a radio, so when when its not so full, you dont feel like your the only ones there. Second, the seating is very comfortable. I cant tell you how many restaurants and diners I ever been to that have uncomfortable seating. And finally, most importantly, the food. They have almost everything and they serve it all 24/7. Sometimes its fun to order an omelet for dinner. The quality of the food, I would say is a 8/10, which is great for a diner. Some of there dinner specials are better than the other "diner food" they sell. The staff is good also. But sometimes if its a little empty, they have forgotten about me. I would say overall, they are the best diner in Kingston.

Awesome accident!!! On the way home New Years Day... So hungry & everywhere closed or over-priced, under-quality service station food... Accidentally got off highway at Kingston. Where is there food here?? OLYMPIC DINER--》Unbelievably huge menu, amazing prices & super friendly service. Gigantic & tasty portions- really you get multiple meals & did I say amazing prices?!! Where else can you get a full bowl of soup, a basket of bread, a "real" bowl of salad, a flavorful entree from a long list (we got steak gorgonzola!!) AND dessert for $12.95 each?!!!! This has got to be the areas hidden gem- so glad we accidentally found it! Happy New Years to an amazing restaurant & lively staff! Wish youd open up a diner in the ADKs.

Have usually had decent meals here but last week was disastrous. the waitress practically threw things at us, argued that cole slaw didnt come with sandwich though it did, food was dry and tasteless, she never came back to check on us or give us coffee and then when she served table next to us she dropped 2 plates on floor from tray. Took forever to get checks which she slammed on the table. We had not done anything to aggravate her; she was just miserable. Very unpleasant experience and my group will not go back. the owner/cashier seemed not too bothered by our complaints nor very apologetic. With so many other good diners in Kingston i would shun this one.

Just had the super burger and lovely in their skins fries, great, my other half had The Olympic pancake two plater - my word, that was a lot of food - looked like a Man V Food challenge!! Two eggs, two sausage, hash browns, three pancakes, gammon steak, two toast, rashers - he nearly managed it all - had with Pepsi and a miller lite all for under 30 dollars - waitress very pleasant, what wed call a good greasy spoon in England. Sit by the window and watch all the sparrows in the bush too. Recommended!

Kind of a go-to spot for eating a meal before heading out of town. I swear the last 3 times Ive been here theyve messed up my burger order. Ive ordered it medium-rare and its always well done. I have to send it back and I end up eating 10 minutes after everyone else. I guess its like most diners, breakfast is the safest choice. Usually everyone who orders breakfast is happy with what they get, so maybe I just need to do that from now on. I didnt think burgers were that hard to cook.

Always a fantastic experience. Every time we go in were treated like family and the food is always perfect! Seriously PAY NO ATTENTION to the bad reviews. This diner is the best Ive been to. The staff is always friendly and the food has always been fantastic. My parents come here every Friday and its always a wonderful experience. I went for my birthday this weekend and got a free cannoli for my special day :) The Olympic will not let you down

The food and service were terrific! The homemade mac and cheese is creamy and delicious. Theres a pesto wrap with grilled vegetables that is dynamite and their sweet potato fries are very good. The other people with me had the cheeseburger deluxe platter and they both enjoyed their meals very much. The staff was perfect, checking in with us just the right amount and they were very friendly. Two thumbs up!

Disregard all those negatives. Weve been coming here over 20 years every time we head up this interstate. Food is amazing quantity is unbelievable and the price is unheard of. If you dont leave carrying a box there is something wrong. Soup, salad, drink , steak mashed potatoes and spinach with dessert to go. All for $8.95. I guess it pays to be a senior citizen!

Open 24 hours, this has been my favorite diner for most of the last 20 years (except when it was the Artemis and different people ran it) The current owners are the couple who used to run it when it was the Gateway, and they are there to greet you almost every day. I always recommend it, and Ive never heard a complaint.

The service was awful the food was absolutely disgusting not cooked and for the price I was charged (not the price in the menu). And my waitress looked like a drug addict. Today I woke up very sick i know this diner is right off the thruway but to travel alittle further there are way better diners in town

Ordered 2 different burgers, they were inedible. So greasy and tasted just bad. Owner didnt care to make it right, just had an attitude and said "Asta la vista" to us, so we left without eating a thing. They have hundreds of items on the menu, hundreds! Jack of all dishes...master of none!

We love the Olympic diner. Its relatively inexpensive, fast service, good sized portions and family owned. Every time we go, the owners stop to say hello and ask how we are. Open 24 hours is a plus! If youre looking for a place to hang out and have a coffee - this is your place.

My family decided to take a pit stop for a late lunch. We almost passed this place, but I was sooo glad we didnt. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and our bill was very reasonable. We found a new place to stop to split our PA to VT trip and will return for sure!

Dont know what all these good reviews are about. This is such a middling diner with a slew of better diners around. Last time they brought me the wrong order. It was similar and they were fine with the fact. I stupidly ate it and didnt make a scene and send it back.

One star for the outstanding service. However the cook needs to taste now and again to make sure the food is right. Alfredo sauce was ruined with cinnimin and way too much of it. Nutmeg works in this dish. Anyway the cooks need to step up their game

Extensive menu. We dont get too adventurous eating out on the road...My familly of fussy eaters was very happy with our deluxe veggie burgers, and spinach/feta omelette. Our waittress was helpful and friendly. A nice old-fashioned diner experience.

My favorite diner in New York. You always get a huge portion and the food is always tasty. It is so affordable as well. You get so much food for the price, soup, salad, entree plus dessert. YUM The chocolate mousse cake is delicious TRY IT.
