With true caring about the food they serve, Wobble is a family-owned restaurant that feels like a home. "Family-friendly" doesnt capture enough of it but "family-loving" does. I would recommend something but in truth anything I order is good. The desserts are delicious and in addition to the regular menu of very, very good cooking, you will also find new specialties based on the season and the market. When you have a question or request, including regarding food allergies, you can hear, and be part of, the whole conversation going back and forth between your table and the kitchen. They even have two charming and lovely children of different ages, along with some of their friends, who are usually there and ready to share toys with your own kids! They are open on weekends until late at night and whenever you arrive, on whatever day, and at whatever time, you feel like youre in the right place. Wobble is a hub of the community and the proprietors are in the know. There is a counter with spinning seats, usually a newspaper about, and many books. They have trivial pursuit cards at each table which makes it fun to wait for your cooked-to-order meal. The price always ends up somehow being less than you expected when you ask for the check, which itself only comes when you ask for it. They dont take reservations and for brunch you must arrive early. There is no "diet" food, much of it is substantial and can be rich, but there are also options through salads and fruits to mind your intake. I have only ever left Wobble with a feeling of satisfaction and gratitude.

This review is my personal opinion and should be viewed as such. Everyone has different tastes. Ive been to Wobble once before for dinner and wasnt impressed. Since its been a few years, I thought Id give their breakfast a try. I mean, who can mess up breakfast? We had the kids pancakes, which were actually quite good. For $6.00, I expected a larger serving. What you get isnt worth what they charge. Thats their one star. I had the "the norm" breakfast, with no meat. Two scrambled egg whites, pretty overcooked, making them tough and dry, not light and fluffy. The home fries were awful. Extremely rubbery and bitter. I dont know if they were left over from the previous day or if thats how they make them. The best part of the meal was the dry whole wheat toast. I should of checked the bill more thoroughly as well, so this part is my fault. The norm is on the menu for $6.75. I was charged $9.50. They said it was because of the price of eggs and I had asked for egg whites. I specifically said TWO egg whites and thats what I got. I didnt get or ask for three or four egg whites. It cost me almost $3.00 for them to not use 2 egg yolks. Insane. I wasnt going to argue about it, I just wanted to leave, badly. I dont understand the stellar reviews for this place, a sentiment echoed by others on different review sites. Ive had excellent breakfast before, many times, and this was not it. Not even close. A shame really, its a nice store front with a nice interior. Too bad Ill never see it again.

was visiting my daughter and grandson in Ossining last week and we were looking for a family friendly place to get a bite. read the reviews and thought that this would be a good choice to go with an active toddler; they have a small play are for kids which would be great if he got restless. we arrived around 5 pm on a Friday evening. it was pretty empty and was approached and he bought us to a table right next to the front door . we got settled and my sister left to use the rest room and while she was gone my grandson who is 16 months old and has been in the car for a couple of hours did not want to sit any longer. when my sister came back she said she noticed a childrens play area, so she said ask if we can change our table to one near the play area. I got up and asked the waiter if we could take the a table back there...when this woman { found out later was the owner} which made this really unacceptable.. turned to me and said " WELL ....I GUESS I COULD DO MY CAKE PROJECT SOMEWHERE ELSE"!! I am like WHAT to myself? ...total sarcasm . I looked at the tables and saw green cakes in cake pans cooling...and the next table with some objects on it. Im thinking to myself ; its a firday night and this is a tiny place; why would you do a PROJECT that would take up room and not be accomadating to the public?! and be so rude to a customer. I told her to keep her table and we left.

Love the food. Love the coffee. Love the kitchy, quirky, completely casual and family friendly environment. Love the fact that they dont have a sign, so if you dont know theyre there - its your loss! My only complaint is the staff are sometimes inattentive often overwhelmed. Especially the mulatto-complexion waitress needs to work on both being more attentive to her tables and needs to be much more welcoming to someone who walks in the door. The other waitresses who have been there have been better at this but often seem overwhelmed. You need not let this stop you from enjoying the place though, as its a great spot..... just dont expect them to keep your glass or coffee full. It will be empty more than 50% of your time spent in the establishment. One major suggestion that I would give them his to put a few tables outside in front of the place - this would help with overcrowding and reduce the wait times. I would also strongly suggest they go back to having more than just two wait staff with no busperson!

A hidden gem tucked away on a sleepy street corner in Ossining, N.Y., Wobble Cafe serves delicious fresh-ingredient meals that taste like someones gramma did the cooking. You can watch the chef/owner dishing up sandwiches and eggs and home fries, and talk to them, too. Wait staff are equally down-to-earth, treating you like just folks. Wobble is super kid-friendly in its menu and its seating... just beware of this if you want a quiet lunch with a friend. It gets noisy! Oh, and seating is a bit limited--but theyll do their best to get you a table and a plate of delicious food before your next tumbly gets too rumbly!

This small family owned restaurant has quickly become one of our must stop destinations when heading north of the big city. The servings are generous and the menu is quite creative. I highly recommend any of the pancakes, fresh toast or egg dishes. If visiting for lunch, I would recommend the delicious Reuben flatbread sandwich.

Great local place to chill, particularly with kids. Food is good comfort food with a twist. My favs are the migas, the vermonster and the quesadillas. The food is great, but on occasion service is sloppy: the deep-fry oil needs changing. The menu could get stale, since it hasnt changed much in years.
