Cheri is a wonderful place for dinner, drinks and/or dessert any day of the week. The owner lives upstairs in the beautiful historic brownstone on Lower Lenox and cooks a fixed menu each day. The food is amazing, and the front terrace, ground floor living room or rear garden are all pleasant spots to sit, relax and enjoy conversation and food. The low-key atmosphere is such a nice contrast to all the noisy places popping up all over the neighborhood. We stop in regularly for drinks and dessert out back. The staff are always classy and happy to discuss the food. The owner will always stop by to check on you if he doesnt serve you himself. Its great to have such a wonderful European spot in the area!

My boyfriend invite me there for Valentines day and it was just perfect . I am french, living in New Jersey since few months and I rediscovered the real french gastronomy. The waitress are all french and very nice . The owner : La creme des cremes . A very warmful and welcoming person . The food was excellent and worth it financially . I advice this restaurant that now is my favorite restaurant . We had a violonist musician , and a romantic singer , everything was perfect . The champagne was excellent . The decoration was really beautiful and remind me the french style a lot . I LOVE IT CONGRATULATION ALAIN FOR THIS WONDERFUL PLACE .

Oh my gosh, can we say cozy? This place is one of those places that will linger in your memory bank long after youve eaten here. And you will be back because how can you forget great food? The décor is shi shi cozy. The garden is beautiful, starry and dreamy The salad was so tasty that I should have ordered three of them instead of the delicious main course. And the main course was amazing. I loved this place and you will too. @Hallphenix

What an amazing experience. Dining in a beautiful old brownstone building, jazz quartet playing, and delicious food being served. We ordered the French cheese, steak tartare, duck luck roast and special duck breathing. All 10/10. We got two bottles as well: the Brüt Rosé, nice and dry bubbly, and the Pinot Noir, with light flavours and a dry finish. Fantastic place. No wonder its awarded the best restaurant in Harlem.

The place is beautiful and awesome decoration. The pate tapa was ok and they have a nice selection of tapas. However, the service is bad, they dont talk to each other and they are very unorganized. We asked for a table a the terrace to two waiters and sat inside waiting. As soon as they had a table available they gave it to another couple waiting outside. My first 0$ tip ever. This happened May 27th 2017, around 6-7pm.

This place is one the list for my top 5. The service was phenomal. Our waitress was extremely attentive even though she had a full section and it was happy hour. We shared some chicken liver mousse and the octopus entree and it was SO TASTY. Loved the ambiance. We sat outside and it was so romantic as the sun was setting. Cant say enough!!!

WHO IS WRITING THESE POSITVE REVIEWS?!?! This place was HORRIBLE - the food was way below average It took an hour - AN HOUR for our appetizer to come out and the entee... The only thing this place has is a cute decor but Id rather have great good than great atmosphere Unreal what people will settle for NEVER AGAIN

Super nice service, great food, original French menu. We went for brunch and there were items such as foie gras, truffle oil parmentier and a couple original burgers. A live jazz (womens) band started at noon. The back garden is lovely and feels like outside , but without the cold temperature.

The food had no flavor, and very tasteless. We ordered hamburger, and salad and soup. The bins were very dry, and no flavor in the meat. The salad was tasteless, for all the ingredients did not add to it either. Very disappointed, waste of money. There are so many options.

Nice people. Good goat cheese salad. Paté was good, but better bread / toast could be served. The chicken dish was mediocre and dry. I was unexpectedly invited to discuss this with the chef. It was a colorful conversation. Id probably give this place 3.5 stars.

I went for Sunday brunch and I had an amazing dinning experience. The wait staff was lovely and charming, and the food was spectacular. I particularly enjoyed being serenaded by the owner and Lady Laia. Cheri will now become one of my go to spots.

In one word, I would describe this place as quaint. It has a nice elegant decor, the staff is kind, the food is good, and the prices are very reasonable. If the food was just a bit more special, then I wouldve given them 5 stars.
