Im a big fan of the Manhattan locations. Same good food in Greenpoint, but man, what horrible service. My waitress was nice, but a total ditz. Took us 25 minutes to get coffee. Ordered grog and she brought hot water and lemon and charged me $3.75 for that. No silverware. Brought us pepper but no salt. No refills. Had to hunt her down for everything. Was so happy to have this place in Greenpoint, but dont know if Ill go back. Giving 3 stars, but would give 5 to the food and 2 to the service (and only that high because the waitress was nice, just not on the ball in any way).

There used to be a Le Gamin by my old place in the East Village. That location closed and a new one popped up in my new neighborhood of Greenpoint. The decor is nice, the servers are always nice (and not as glacial as the ones in the EV location), and more importantly, the food is really great. I especially love the tartine with homemade jam and the french toast, which is one large slice here and kind of custardy. My boyfriend enjoyed his lamb sandwich, as well.

My go to at least three times a week for delicious french influenced brunch fair and the best cafe au lait in town. Not for nothing, this is also my moms favorite go to whenever she comes to visit from Detroit. In her words "A visit to Brooklyn is not complete without a cafe, croissant and jam from Le Gamin." Service is always friendly and the mood is just casually perfect....with a touch of atmospheric romance at night.

Said the wait was 20 minutes. We were sat 1 hr later after everyone else waiting left. Then our food took another hour after the table next to us sat, got their food, ate, and left. Also, surprise...cash only. Food was decent.

Very good all around. The filet mignon was fantastic and the beef stew delicious as well. The service was welcoming and offered a great vibe to the experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Really good food and great service. We went with a party of about 20 and were treated so well, they were very accommodating for our large party and our food came out fast, hot and delicious.

Eat here all the time, great restaurant with amazing french food. The steak is the best and they try really hard to maintain a french taste, even going as far to hire french chefs.

Love this place, best spot to go for a romantic wine with your sweetie. Food is fresh and simple, sometimes pricey, but I suppose youre paying for that romantic French vibe.

Great food and great staff. This is a place that I like to go eat because of the quality and also a place to bring friends to impress them with Brooklyns food scene.

Food is great, service is pretty bad. Worth it for brunch, but be prepared to wait and make sure to double check your order
