How this diner has such good reviews is beyond me. I have never left a review for anywhere before but I had such a bad experience I feel the need to. The second me and my fiance walked through the door we were off to a bad start. No one greeted us or even acknowledged our existence for minutes after we were waiting. Then we were finally greeted by our waitress who right off the bat was giving me dirty looks and was very unfriendly. She seemed to be annoyed that we interrupted her reading her newspaper. Then, the food came. The pancakes were burnt and the bacon, ham, and sausage were very under cooked. When my fiance had complained about the sausage our waitress tried to tell us it was cooked and at first didnt want to give us any more. Im pregnant and I cant risk getting sick from eating under cooked meat. When she finally did bring out more sausage they were even worse than the ones before. Also she was nowhere to be found most of our time there. If she was sitting with some other customer just talking for 10 minutes at a time. One of the bus boys had to get me a drink because we were waiting for her but she just vanished. That being said all the guys walking around bringing people coffee and water were extremely nice and no sooner than you finished one was right there to fill up your cup. Overall the service and food was horrible and I would never recommend going here.

The staff were very prompt and polite. The food however wasnt as great: wife got a chicken panini and she said it was very bland. I had eggs and a waffle, waffle was alright but the eggs were very oily. Also, classic radio is all they play. The 1980s transpired almost forty years ago. Can we please play music from this century? There are dozens of new music artists getting published each day, thousands of new albums every year, and yet Im still listening to The Police and Journey. WHO are we playing this music for? I cant think of a single human being whos never heard "Dont Stop Believin", neither can I think of anyone who still WANTS to hear "Dont Stop Believin"! I mean, come on, its got to be the most overplayed song ever. How are radio stations just this tolerant of old, played out music. But yeah, the food was okay.

Ive never been to the Haight location, but this place was pretty good! We found parking right around the corner, so we were pretty lucky. I did Open Table reservations for 4 people and we didnt have any problems getting a spot for 6:30pm. Actually, when we got there it wasnt even crowded. I think it gets more crowded later on, especially when a game is going on. Between two people, three tapas is enough. I was SO full. Chicken Paillard. Ricotta Spinach Empanada. Salmon -- a special that night We never had to ask the waiter for anything. Good service. They put a pitcher of water at your table and refill it. They give you bread and ask if you want more after youre done :)

Ive eaten here for Twenty years at least@ great food and only bad experience you can have is if you get a bad waiter in my opinion. I dont think ever had a problem in the many many times Ive eaten there. And if youwant to call and pick up food the portions are great as well as the quality.at one time my boyfriend and I literally ate there like three times a week. Breakfast there, especially omelette platters ( western its my fave) and challa bread French toast, is always great. Chicken parm and chicken Cesar salad are my faves and their triple deckers for dinner. You will most probably bring food you couldnt finish home!

This place is great! Ive come a few times for brunch with a friend and we have never been disappointed. She absolutely loved her steak and eggs and my pancakes were delicious! Everyone working there is always so welcoming and the service is pretty spot on. They are also great as a late night option. Im a sucker for their buffalo wings and curly fries. And if you love soup as much as I do, try their Cream of Turkey... YUMM!! The Triple Crown is an awesome local diner and I look forward to eating there again soon!

Ive been eating there for years. The food is decent. The reason for my one-star review--Id give it no stars if I could--is because when I ate there last night all the TVs in the place were playing Newsmax. Didnt even know these insane idiots HAD a TV network, but there you have it. Clearly the owner/manager is wearing a tinfoil hat. What could be worse than having Fox News on in public than Newsmax? I almost lost my food in disgust. You want to have that trash on in your diner? Youve lost a customer.

It fell off, I tried to give them the benefit of doubt. annoyed should have gone elsewhere. Our server paid no attention to us and barely provided the basics, utensil, syrup for pancakes, didnt give me toast. Had to be reminded to bring butter and sour creme for potatoes. My salmon was over cooked. Ughghg, I really should of gone to New Hyde Inn.

this diner, ha. always see people here mostly elderly their waiters are great and waitresses are rude sometimes the food its ok theres much better diners that have better but its close and prices are good, and yesterdays diner east from there is way better then this diner..

The food and service are consistently good my wife and I come here quite often. Their turkey burger and sweet potato fries platter are great there fresh ham roast with apple stuffing is awesome good place to go and have some good food without breaking the bank

Perhaps this was an off day, since the only reason i came was because it was suggested, chicken wings too salty, we found a carrot in the pancake, wraps were dry is wasnt what i expected, very dusty, waitresses were clueless as to menu or items in dish...

I have been here more times I can count. The food is ok but what do you expect for a non specialty diner. The service is fast and the host seat you right away because it never super pact. It your all American diner you can have pancakes any time of day

We asked for a booth and they refused and lied to us! We made them bring us water and menus before we got up and told them we would rather eat elsewhere. HORRIBLE LAZY HOSTESSES! If it were possible they would get no stars!

My wife and I frequently eat here with her beloved aunt and uncle and we love it. I have never seen any advertising for the Triple Crown but, if they chose to advertise, they could honestly say "Nobody leaves here hungry".

The people is so friendly and they have a really good food ,excellent service BUT they need to renew the dishes and cups they are so old is so disgusting to drink water in those old plastic cups

Went there to have brunch with my family. The booth where we got seated was dirty. The food had no flavor whatsoever. Our waitress rarely came to check up on us. Awful experience overall
