I would assume most people walk by this place because A) they dont even realize its there, or B) take the neon lights and indifferent store front as a sign of a greasy, sketchy restaurant. Nothing could be further from the truth. In a town full of hip, trendy, expensive restaurants, Oaxaca stands out as one of the best in the village. They have the best service of any place in Huntington by far. No one even comes close. I once had to wait about ten minutes for a table. While we were waiting, one of the gentlemen working there brought us out a quesadilla on the house to munch on while we waited. On another visit, we were given an appetizer on the house, just because. And every time I have eaten there we were given free dessert. Free food is just one example of how the staff is accommodating. Everyone is always friendly, and rarely have to ask for anything to be refilled or for your check. But the service is just one of the reasons to come here. The food is unreal. My particular favorite, chicken enchiladas with mole sauce, is consistently delicious. Its not all jazzed up and ridiculous like you might get at a corny Mexican place its just straight-up delicious. Do yourself a favor and eat your next meal here.

This restaurant was excellent. I went here for lunch and I couldnt of been happier with my experience at this restaurant. You get unlimited nachos with a great side sauce. But what makes this restaurant so great, is they really put the customer first, they cater to your needs and want you to have a great. While waiting for my main order, we received a free appetizer (meat quesadilla which was also very good). I ordered the chicken quesadilla and tried the beef burrito and they were both delicious. After our main order the waiter surprised us with a free desert which was fried bananas with whip cream which was also very good. I recommend this restaurant and if you pass this place up, you are really missing out. I will definitely be going back here again and recommending it to my family and friends. Lunch menu is no more than $10.

AUTENTICAMENTE MEXICANO! Visiting this area on military orders and missed home (Texas) I googled Mexican restaurants in this area and found this jewel. The food is very authentic, the host Antonio Gil runs the place and is a great host (glad to meet someone who speaks spanish!) Had the Tinga tostadas as an appetizer (fabulous) and had the 3 tacos platter, all different ones, (all were great). Only one downfall, the salsa was not as spicy as Im used to eating but was still very tasty. LOVED IT!! Its now a starred item on my Google Maps Navigator! :) Thank you GIL!

We ate here instead of the other Mexican restaurant around the corner as planned. Everything was just gross. The meat and peppers and onions for our fajitas were cooked to a mushy paste, not fresh at al, and little attention to detail. Nachos, also no care for detail, not particularly good. The guacamole was good, but other than that...food was nasty, service was poor as well.

The service is friendly and quick to bring out your meal, which is much better than their prices would suggest. Im a regular there and have gone for 5 or so years now. Sweet people, amazing food, and doesnt strain your wallet. My favorite restaurant. Sometimes difficult to understand the waiters, but thats authenticity for you.

VERY authentic Mexican food, fairly priced, outstanding waitstaff, hospitable owners. Loved this place, and will go back over and over. Were native Southern Californians who moved to NY almost 14 years ago. This was the first authentic Mexican Ive had since I arrived here. Outstanding!!!

Literally a hole in the wall. So its easy to walk right past this gem if youre not looking for it. The food and staff is authentic and wonderful. This is not a place to go if you want to linger and dine but BYO since they dont have a liquor license and enjoy great food "fast"

Absolutely superb. Their guacamole was freshly made and so good I was tempted to lick the bowl... We had the ropa vieja and the tacos, both were excellent.
