This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Westchester. It is run by a Japanese husband and wife and has a nice homey feeling. They serve traditional Japanese food, not the fusion stuff that is being sold by most of the newer places. They dont speak perfect English, and part of the menu is not translated into English (as these dishes are particularly suited to the Japanese clients, i.e. nato). This is a true Japanese restaurant that mostly caters to Japanese people. Price to quality - It is a steal. The guests that Ive taken there have always been surprised by how little the check comes too after experiencing such a high quality meal. I recommend being adventuresome and ordering off the specials as much as possible. These dishes may be things you have never heard of unless you have lived in Japan, and I have frequently been extremely pleased by them. Also great are the Tamago soup, the Sunomo, and the Spicy Seafood Roll. I fear the day the owner retires and closes their little restaurant. In the meantime, I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Service was incredibly slow in an almost empty restaurant, to the point we literally got our food one plate at a time between 5 and 10 minutes apart. It took 2 hours total...for sushi, and the quality of presentation left A LOT to be desired. Not a place I would recommend nor ever visit again.

Hole in the wall that is unfortunately probably unfairly overshadowed by Hajime next door which by contrast is overrated and slower. Love coming here with my daughter for Salmon bowl. The nabeyaki udon she says is second only to Fujinoya, which if you know is high praise.

The place wasnt crowded and the service was slow. We walked in around 7pm and waited over an hour for 6 rolls. There were only 2 or 3 other tables at the time. I think Ive seen better looking sushi rolls at a grocery store.

Ive gone a few times on a weekend rush, and its way to understaffed to handle Friday dinner and takeout. Sushi is pretty good compared to the surrounding competitors, but they quickly get overwhelmed.

Delicious home style Japanese and yummy fresh sushi and sashimi. The service is always friendly, even when busy! My favorite Japanese restaurant in the area!!! ❤

Besides the fact that I paid 21$ for four rolls and a miso soup I found the rolls very salty... a bit dissapointed because it was zagat reviewed.

The sushi here is incredibly fresh! I have never had sushi with such soft texture and buttery finish. WOW
