I have been going here for years and can assure you will not find another Chinese restaurant that serves better traditional Chinese food around. If you come here looking for the Americanized Chinese food you find in most walk in places, youre likely to be disappointed, and I would not recommend you order any of those dishes off the menu. Rather enjoy an old fashioned Cantonese meal! Definitely the BEST Wonton soup anywhere. I must admit, I do miss the old decor which was also more traditional, as opposed to the more modern style it is now, but if you want a great sit down meal with some of the best Chinese food in the area, this is the place to go.

This is the best dining experience I have had in my whole life, and I completely recommend this restaurant to anybody who is not so sure about coming to Lum Yen. The food here is fantastic, and it is a very well run restaurant. The food service is exquisite, and they get you your meal very fast. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, and I recommend it to anyone who wants good food. I would like to thank all the people who work at Lum Yen, and the Lum family for giving me this impeccable Asian food.

A friend took me here for lunch several years ago (2010) and I have been a fan ever since. I live in New Rochelle and have been to almost every sit down Chinese restaurant in lower Westchester, most sadly below par. Lum Yen, however, is a complete stand out; large portions, fresh food, expansive menu. I particularly look forward to ordering their Grand Marnier Shrimp and the Beef w/Broccoli . The staff is very nice albeit old school. But very nice. My very favorite place. And parking in the rear.

Lum Yen is one of the best Chinese restaurants out there. It has a calm and welcoming feel to it, and I come here whenever I need some good dumplings. There is a variety of delicious foods on the menu, and presentation is flawless. The food, of course, is amazing and is portioned perfectly! The owner and his staff are so friendly as well, and they have the best Chocolate Moose cake in town. Come to Lum Yen all day, everyday and feast on food thats out of this world!

Lum Yen has changed my life. I have been craving it for two years. When i tried their food a rainbow formed over my head. That was the best day of my life. I cant wait to go back. The food is so fresh and so tasty. I remember when i ordered orange chicken and it was as orange as the Cheetos i had for lunch yesterday. It was so so so so delicious and i need to reunite with this place, even though it gave me food poisoning.

I ordered the sizzling rice cake soup with shrimp and it was very bad, I could get the taste of chicken broth and just corn starch added with bamboo shoot. I even ordered LoMein with chicken and shrimp, the chicken had a weird taste, as if boiled and so was the noodles. The food had no authentic Chinese taste, it was bland and tasteless.

My experience was amazing. The waiters were amazing. The staff was amazing. The food was amazing. The desert was amazing. The water was amazing, along with all the other beverages. The bathrooms were one of the cleanest bathrooms ive been in. Just an overall amazing experience!
