As a field technician, my work places me in many affluent neighborhoods. I am a connoisseur of chinese take out and like to sample the offerings near the places I work. That said - I am happy to say that Jade Spoon is among the best I have been to based on the following criteria. I establish value based on quality of food, selection and price vs portions and am happy to say the quality is top notch, the selection while not as broad as other establishments (more on this later) is more than up to the task of feeding you and lastly, the price is what I would expect for Scarsdale but is not overly expensive and the portions you get warrant the few extra dollars. The service is always with a smile and the food is served promptly. More about the portions - I find the portions are very generous IF you eat in. Take out portions are not as ample - limited perhaps by the size of their containers. Trick with eating in is that the seating is limited as it is primarily a take out restaurant. You may be out of luck at lunch time because my high opinion of their food is shared by other tradesmen who seem to flock here for lunch as well. My colleagues now share my high praise for Jade Spoon as they always comment that if they are working in the Scarsdale area - they smile and exclaim "Jade Spoon!" emphatically looking ahead to a nice lunch experience. AS previously stated, there is a nice selection of food and everything is cooked fresh and is delicious. They may not have the conventional Chinese take out menu items commonly found at run of the mill take out places but that stuff isnt authentic chinese food anyway people. Stop reading this review already and go get some!

The food is very fresh, the place is very clean and the staff are very friendly. It has mostly traditional Chinese dishes but also unique foods that are Asian but not solely Chinese. The Thai Red Curry dish is special. And the Broccoli with Garlic Sauce is also a standout. As is the General Tsos chicken. You have a selection of choice of meat with most of these dishes, Beef, Chicken or Shrimp. The Lunch Menu is excellent value, portions are slightly larger than other Chinese restaurant Lunch Dishes and cost just a bit more.

People born and raised in Flushing, Queens (were chinese food snobs) love this place and will order only from here from now on. So glad to have discovered it. The orange chicken was verifiable white meat, and wasnt intolerably sweet. Delivery was QUICK and easy, though we wish theyd throw in some chopsticks. Weve tried a number of places since moving to the area, this is the only place weve been willing to order from a second time, and will do so happily.

Jade Spoon is definitely a hidden jem! Clean kitchen, fresh food and great service. Audrey and her team prepare your not so average Asian fusion with hints of mandarin, szechuan, vietnamese, malaysian, japanese and thai recipes. The menu has very good choices at fair prices with fast service... I eat here weekly and would definitely recommend it to you.

Its been a long time since Ive tasted excellent Asian Chinese food and Jade Spoon does it right. Most dishes are done the way I liked. I especially love the Hot & Sour Soup. Nobody does it as good as them. The BBQ ribs are succulent and juicy, not overly burnt like lots of other places I patronize. Keep it up Jade Spoon. U rock!

Our family favorite Chinese restaurant. Love the tasty fresh vegetables, excellent steamed veggie dumplings, and any spicy chicken or shrimp entree. Fast local delivery (parking lot is awkward and seating is cramped and wah-wah-wah). Lunch special are great value.
