Update...They are again open for lunch after being closed for lunch for the last 6 months!!! Love the Lamb Curry, sooo good! Also they have all new tables and they are beautiful. -April 2016 Update... Still look for reasons to be in the area for lunch here. Always really good. Dont be afraid to try it. I suspect that you will enjoy whatever you order. -17 June 14 Update... I have been here now six or seven times for lunch. It is consistently great. I recently ate at another Indian restaurant and found it to be way over spiced. They get it right here every time. This has grown to be my favorite lunch spot in Saratoga. - 5 Nov 2013 Sept 2013 This time I had another lamb dish, not the curry special. It was really good! I have also had the lamb curry, and the mango chicken, both really great. Medium on the spices each time. I am not a regular at Indian restaurants so I dont have much to compare it with, but each time I really enjoyed my meal! I thought everything was fresh and had really good flavors. Also they were quick to bring out my lunch, and as a busy person I appreciate being able to get in and out in a timely manner. Each time I have been here, I observed that the place was clean. The bathrooms in many small places can be a problem, however I was pleasantly surprised when I washed up before sitting down that the restrooms were well stocked and incredibly clean. I will be back for more!

A simple, very clean dine-in or take-out restaurant. Nicely decorated without over doing it. This is our first experience with an Indian restaurant, but we considered the food delicious & well prepared. Service was efficient, & attentive without hovering. Indian music was pleasant & at a good (audible but not overwhelming) volume. We had Mango Chicken, Lamb Curry, & Shrimp Curry, which was served with separate bowls of basmati rice - all were delicious & a decent value (there could have been a few more pieces of meat in each). We also had the Little India sampler, which was very good, but we didnt feel the amount of food was enough for the $9.95 price. They provided a trio of sauces with the meal, all of which were very tasty & made a nice accompaniment to all our selections (the onion relish in particular, which we requested more of!). We also had the Garlic Naan & Peshawari Naan, both of which were outstanding & good value for the price of $3.95 each. We finished with Indian Tea (delicious, at an acceptable price), & Kulfee (tasty & different, but a little pricey for the portion size). We also observed them polishing their silverware, which we very much wish all restaurants would do. We will definitely be returning to Little India!!

Ive had two meals prepared at Little India that could have come from two different restaurants. I dined in for lunch and it was fabulous. Perfectly cooked nutty rice... so delicate and fluffy you couldnt call it a pilaf yet it was far from generic steamed rice. Excellent vindaloo. And a generous portion of a complex vegetarian curry to spoon over the rice. The other meal was a take-out which was ok in flavor but very lacking in ingredients; meat curries for a crowd would have just one or two bits of meat. I am glad I went back for the good experience so I can chalk this one up to a bad night or someone new in the kitchen. I did notice on this visit (to pick up the order) that the room has a bright, flat lighting that isnt very conducive to a relaxed dining experience at night. Better to go for lunch when you have natural light.

Ok .. we were in the area visiting lake George. I was searching for good Indian restaurant and found this encouraged by the reviews we went in with good expectations and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The good: Nice little place. very neat, good presentation of the food. quick and fast service. very nice people. Samosas were excellent! The not so good : I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but we were let down by the taste. The curries we ordered dhal makhani and kadai panner .. Completely lacked in taste and were absolutely tasteless. Hope theyll improve on the taste. All said,we would still would love to try it again for other dishes.!

My son wanted to go here for his 20th birthday "dinner" after hearing from a friend how GOOD the food is. I googled it, looked over the menu then read these reviews. The menu sounded very tasty, and the reviews sounded positive. I must say we were VERY impressed. The food was amazing. My wife ordered the Lamb Bhuna(medium spice) , I ordered the Chicken Bhuna(extra spicy) and my son ordered a Vegetarian dish(medium spice). All three dishes were AWESOME, and filling too. If youre tired of the same old thing, and want to try something new. Do not hesitate to try this place. Very friendly staff, nice place to eat. Six thumbs up!

We ordered some food for a party and it was awful. There was not even one item that i can say was worth any money. Kababs with gravy was the first for all of us. Paneer Kadahi was cooked in a sweet chinese food gravy. really? how can someone f*** Paneer Kadahi? If there was anything Indian about this food, maybe its name and ingredient. I am shocked at so many 4 stars, and actually because of these reviews only we got fooled. My advice, if you like Indian food not Indian type food, stay away....miles away....

My wife and I love Little India. For the past several years, weve probably averaged eating there (or taking out) once/week. It is consistently our preferred place to eat out in Saratoga. The food is authentic, can be made very spicy (if you ask for it), and there is nothing bad on the menu. Our favorites: lamb saag, lamb vindaloo, keema mutter, baigan bharta, bhindi masala. Make sure to have a manga lassi!

Excellent! We loved the Tandoor chicken, chicken tiki masala and the lamb saag. samosas were great too, but we may skip the pakora next time although our daughter loved it. We asked for mild (for the wife and kids) and the spice was excellent although next time I may order a spicier level. Thanks for restoring my faith in the ability to get international food in Saratoga!.

I would say one of the top Indian food places in the capital region! I was wary of going there as some reviews suggested the food might not taste good to an Indian palette. But everything about this place is great - taste, ambience, service. I got the thali and each dish was super tasty and well done - right amount of oil and spices

Good restaurant , the lamb is very good, and the woman who served us were very kind. Also we have a young children with nuts and milk allergies and they have been taking care of her needs. For our next travel to NY we probably stop here another time.

So far what we liked are the chicken korma and lamb saag. The tandoori chicken/mixed grill is ok, a big too dry for my liking. The naan bread are good though. Overall we like this place, although if you have a big group, the service could be slowed
