This is an amazing restaurant, our all-time favorite. Weve been going there for years. Their weekly-specials menu alone is as large as other restaurants entire offering. Also, their regular menu changes seasonally. [Weve been to “high-end” restaurants in the area with less selection than Global Palate at higher price and not any better quality.] On top of that, all of their breads, ice-creams, and sorbets are made in-house, they cure their own sausage, and all of the eggs they use come from the chefs own hens. Their meats, cheeses, and produce come from local farms in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Theyve been locavore before locavore was a thing. And all of this is done by only the chef-owner and a couple of assistants. In a small kitchen. [I had a 50th birthday dinner there for my husband, and asked if I could bring the cake that I made over. Ms. Winchell, the chef-owner, asked if I wanted to see the kitchen. My jaw dropped, then I asked here (A) How do you do everything in such a small space? and (B) When do you sleep?!?!]

WHAT ARE THESE 4 star reviews doing here?!? Are they mad? Ive had the occasion to go to some of the finest eateries in the world and Global Palate ranks right up there with them. Its a bit pricy for the Hudson Valley. And only a bit, really ~$25 a person for one of the best, tastiest, original, and un-recreatable food youll have all year. All life if you dont get out much. And dont skip on their Ice Cream. Its better than you think it is, even if you think its supurb.

Fabulous menu options, great variety of styles and appeals to all types of palates. Excellent wine menu for those who are the conessoire type. Vegetarian dishes available as well. Service was knowledgeable and very personable. Atmosphere was very quaint, cozy and comfortable. Set in a Victorian Inn style. Loved it.

What a treasure! The food, mostly fresh and local, was first rate. Ambiance was cozy, relaxed, casual. Service friendly and prompt. Extensive wine and beer list, everything presented with panache. A truly satisfying meal.

Off the beaten path but worth the trip. We had a couple of their omelets for brunch. The food, service and atmosphere were really fine. (And the prices werent bad either.)

Global palate is my favorite restaurant in the Hudson valley. Never disappointed . Apearances can be deceiving but the focus is on the food not the decor

Absolutely the best food with a touch of class and the deserts are to die for. Worth the ride from the East bank and be surprised by this culinary gem.

Had a most magical birthday dinner. Local and lovingly prepared. They stayed open extra to accommodate us. Big thank you for their wonderful catering.

Service was great, but I think it was a bit off of a night, everything was just a little bland, and the sorbet was more like granita
