I went into the bakery today and brought a strawberry shortcake, I had the girl who worked there pull the cake and write happy birthday on it , she did it in the back and brought the cake up to the front , I did not look at the cake ,thinking I shouldnt have to inspect a cake for mold, I brought the cake back into my office and was about to celebrate my bosses birthday , when we opened the cake the strawberries not one but almost all had fuzzy mold growing on it ! I first can not see how the girl who worked there did not see this !!!! I called the bakery and talked to Julia who said bring back the cake , i then asked for the owner, she said to me that the owner is not there, I asked her to call the owner and have the owner call me , she said to me oh she may not be able to call until tonight! I then took the cake to the bakery I asked the girl while I was standing there to call the owner , she did ,she was on the phone with the owner talked quietly hung up the phone came back to me and said the owner does not want to talk right now ! I find this highly unprofessional for a owner to not give me 2 minutes of her time while I am standing right there in her bakery! to tell me she does not want to talk ! this is absurd that this owner could not get on the phone !!! not even Im sorry !!!! I will never ever walk back in this bakery again !!! as long as Guy and Belle are owners !!! I DID ADD A PICTURE IN THERE PICTURE GALLERY OF THE MOLDED FUZZY CAKE !!!!

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had asked if they could replicate the top of my wedding cake, for our one year anniversary, which got destroyed in Hurricane Sandy, they said "yes". I even had lent them a professional photo of the cake for them to model after. The cake was made correctly on the inside but the outside was horrible looking! First off, the woman who helped me didnt even congratulate me on the anniversary, a few simple words go a long way! Second, it looked like a beginner did the polka dots and that was all he did! The top piping looked terrible as well, the lines did not match up. I was able to get $3 off the cake because it was not what I had asked for. I called later in the week to let them know how a paying customer felt about the terrible work and the woman did not apologized but only said, "well I guess he had done his interpretation of the photo." I work in the customer service industry and an apology is #1 and #2 is correcting the error. I told them I will no longer be going there due to the lack of customer service. I recommend never going to Swan Bakery!

I havae been going to Swan Bakery since I was a child (Ill be 42 this year). By far, the best bakery. You can SMELL how GOOD everything is - you dont find this often. We have ordered birthday cakes every year, and they have CONSISTENTLY been awesome. Buttercream icing is the best. I moved away from LI about 10 years ago, but every time I make a trip there, I pre-order the Dutch Apple Pie - at least two of them - because I cannot get that good a pie anywhere else!!! The cookies, the cakes, the donuts, just cant be beat. I have never, ever gotten anything that I didnt love at Swan. Grew up in Bayport and we would drive to Patchogue to get our bakery goods there. Now I drive from the airport to get a taste of delicious. Like I said, just cant be found anywhere else. Ann W. (and family) - lifelong customer :)

All I can say is WOW, just take twenty dollar, and light it on fire in the packing lot. You will get more joy out of it, just watching it burn....

Buns/donuts okay,but i got 3 fresh rolis/3 old rolls[1-2days] !! i havent been there in years,doubt that ill go back!!
