I love the people who run Bagelicious, so it pains me to say that their bagels suck. Theyre merely tiny bread rolls with a hole in the middle. Regardless, they offer so much more than bagels, including the best, most convivial morning meeting place in town. Some of the fare tends to be a bit pricey for what it is. As Ashley rightfully points out, the owners are extremely kind and philanthropic. They are active, willing participants in almost every event in Cheshire. That said, however, if youre a purist and a connoisseur, Shefs is a long overdue, welcome addition to Cheshire. For those who recognize and appreciate the real thing, its nice to finally have some authenticity in bagels. Shefs is old school. Most of the time, their offerings are still warm with soft, chewy insides and thin, crispy outsides. Their traditional equipment, including seasoned wooden boards, produce the taste and texture that made bagels famous in the first place. They dont offer as many flavors as Bagelicious, but will make mini bagels by special order, like Bagelicious. Shefs sticks to what it does best - the best bagel in CT - and offers little else. The good thing is that Shefs and Bagelicious are peacefully coexisting. Shefs offers the bagels, and Bagelicious offers the meeting place.

I have been a customer of Bagelicious since it first opened in Cheshire. Not only is their food delicious (Everything bagels in particular!), but their dedication to bettering the community is un-matched. I currently work for a non-profit and they have been more than generous in providing our organization with product whenever we host an event. I know that I can always count on Bagelicious to support local businesses and because of that, I know where to get my breakfast in the morning!

Best bagels Ive had in the New Haven area. I cant believe anyone would call these bagels bread rolls with holes -- they are dense, chewy, and full of just the right flavor for bagels. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is theyre not as fabulous as really good bagels in the New York area, where they do the best bagels anywhere. Oh, and the chocolate chip bagels dont have enough chocolate chips. Otherwise, we go out of our way to get up to Cheshire to get these bagels.

Best bagels ever I love the spinach with avacado and the owners are very friendly and I have to say its sooo clean I been there a few times already I come all the way from branford well worth the trip and it was nice to see them collecting TOYs for our CT kids shows they have a big heart I will be back thanks for your awesome hospitality

Surpised anyone thinks badly of this place. There is no better bagel spot in the area. Nice and thick, and their scallion cream cheese is the best Ive had. Im pretty picky about bagels as well. I stop here every time I want to grab a dozen for work. They also have a whole wheat everything bagel which is pretty rare. Good stuff!

If you like being overcharged for mediocre bagels and microwaved eggs then this is the place for you. Shefs is across the street and offers better bagels, real eggs, and cheaper prices. I dont understand how fools in this area think Bagelicious is even good let alone worth it. The choice is a no brainer.

Used to be great before ownership change. Now they barely have any drink selection in cooler. My young sons used to love it and go there all the time but rarely ever now, last time bagles were burnt.
