Both my wife and I decided to stop at the Spare Rib for dinner one night. We both tasted the half rack of spare ribs with salad and found it to be good. Today - 8/10/16 we surprised my son and his wife with taking them to celebrate their third wedding anniversary. We were greeted by a very nice waitress and ordered our meals. I ordered a full rack of St. Louis cut ribs on the suggestion of the waitress. Everyone else had the baby back ribs. My ribs where OVERCOOKED so much I could hardly cut the meat with the knife. The waitress took them back and brought out a rack of baby back ribs that were cooked to perfection. Both my daughter in law and I both ordered alcoholic drinks. We conversed and were having a good time, when I realized my drink had no alcohol in it. I didnt say anything because I did not want to spoil anybody elses dining. At the end of our dinner, my daughter in law told my son that her drink did not have any alcohol in it. I did not want to spoil our dining experience, but I had paid for drinks that were not received. The reason I am writing to you is to make you aware of what is going on in your restaurant. Consistency is the success of a good business. We did not receive that today. I would like to return but I have seen many negative reviews on this restaurant. Is this inconsistency your normal operating procedure ? ? ?

being a long time patron of this place since the 80s,my wife and I went there last night with another couple.....i was a bit nervous after reading some of the current reviews...... we arrived at 650 pm for dinner and were seated right away in the rear section ,,we asked our hostess if we could change seats closer to the bar and she obliged us our drink orders were ordered and delivered quite quickly,,and our dinner orders were taken by our waitress and also by a waiter in training,,,,,appetizers were brought out in a nice timely manner onion rings were nice a crisp as was the calamari dinner orders were served,,,, the ribs were very tasty and cooked to perfection and everyone at our table enjoyed them immensely well done spare rib

Ive been coming here since they opened in 79 and have yet to find a better rib place. The ribs have that full flavor since they are not boiled or steamed first. Their homemade barbeque sauce is also not that molasses heavy sauce, but the thinner sauce with a kick. The doubled barbeque potatoes and of course the onion loaf are awesome. Long lines, but great cooking at a fare price are a standard for this place.

The salad the food came with is mediocre at best, the only reason its two stars is because the staff was good other than that the food took a long time, the ribs were chewy, the burger was all bread and the place is jam packed and really loud. Wouldnt go again, wouldnt recommend, there are better bbq places. Famous daves is 100x better and thats a chain place with ingredients that arent even fresh.

Superb service and outstanding food. Torri was our server. Very attentive and pleasant. I had the BBQ chicken lunch (white meat). It (the chicken) arrived hot and jucy! My wife ordered a cheese burger. The steak fries are to die for, crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside (order them well done).

I recently ordered food for a party and found this restaurant extremely disorganized and lacking in customer service skills..all mistakes were on there end and they didnt compensate me or offer to...i have been a customer for many years but will never return!

Ordered st. Louis ribs with baked beens and some BBQ sauce on the side. Ribs were tough hard to chew, baked beens tasted like camples pork and beens the bbq sauce tasted like off the shelf supermarket sauce.house salad was good though. Never again.

Best food Ive had since I moved to New York! Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! I wouldve given 5 stars if the waitress had treated us the same as she was treating the other guests. I felt a little discriminated against.

Food was OK. Service was OK. We didnt like the fact there was no waiting room. We also ordered potato skins and it only came out with our meal. I dont know about you guys, but I like to have my appetizers first.
