Nice place to eat. Good food with some natural room for improvement. FOOD: 3.5 / 5 - We had the ribs, sausage and blackened shrimp salad. The ribs were cooked with a dry rub so there was no sauce when they came out but there are 5 tasty sauces on the table. The ribs were good but not spectacular. They were tender. I would say they werent smoked but smoking meat is more of a Texas thing than a Tennessee thing so I suppose they are after the southern genre of cooking. There were no smoke rings at all. The sausage was OK (a little oily) but again nothing out of the norm. The blackened Shrimp salad was good. Lots of Lettuce in comparison to the other ingredients. Cornbread was very cold (we were expecting warmed bread.) Spinach and chips were very tasty. SUGGESTIONS: Bring the originality up a bit by continuing to develop distinguishing characteristics in your cooking methods. Whether refining ingredients or smoking or special preparation. Further distinguish the meal. SERVICE 4/5 - Good service by what looks like a family run team. They were very friendly. SUGGESTIONS: Dont skimp on napkins. If people are eating BBQ, One napkin on the table isnt going to do it. A roll of paper towels on each table would be ideal. We asked for extra and got like 2 more. Also serve the potato chips while customers are waiting for the meal -- not with it. ESTABLISHMENT: 3 / 5 - Cute decor. They had some nice music playing when we arrived but for some reason they shut it off. Blackboard had beers they had but they were very hard to read with frequent erasures and small text. On a cold February day, the front door has no vestibule so every time a customer comes in, you get a blast of cold air. The restaurant is small and and fills up quickly. SUGGESTIONS: There seems to be some room for more tables by a stage they have. Also a vestibule would be welcome. Work on further developing the theme of the restaurant. Tell the customers what the WIFI password is without them asking. Cell coverage is terrible in this area for both Verizon and AT&T. That will make the wait for the food more enjoyable for some. We didnt realize there was WIFI until we were leaving. CLEANLINESS: 5/5 - No issues at all here. Things were very clean. VALUE: 4/5 - You get a good amount of food with your dinner. Some of the rib plate can reach up to about $38. For that amount, I would expect distinguished cooking methods. Overall we spent about $50 for two. PARKING: 2/5 - You can take your chances finding a spot on the street or park on a side street behind the establishment. There is some lot parking nearby if you dont mind a 5 min walk. RESTROOMS N/A - Didnt visit. OVERALL 3.5 / 5 - The Barbecue scene on Long Island leaves a lot to be desired, so this is a very welcome addition to Lindenhurst. The restaurant seems to have a sense of caring about how they are serving customers and it feels like it is in competent hands. The room for improvement is of a more natural nature as a good restaurant is close to being a great restaurant. Further refining the food techniques and working out some somewhat minor kinks in the dining area will move Tennessee Jeds into the "Long Islands Finest" crowd. I will be back.

We pass the restaurant every day. This past weekend we decided to stop in. For starters, their beer menu is great. Bartender and servers are educated and happy to make suggestions. The wait to get a table was not even 20-minutes and that was on a Friday night. I had the Rib Eye and my wife had a burger. The burger was great and we both commented on the flavor. The Rib Eye, not so much. Im fine with some fat so Im not even commenting about that. I feel the taste was just off. I tasted more propane than I did seasoning. I did not reduce the stars for this. Im kinda picky when it comes to my steaks, as in no one cooks it as good as I do. We will absolutely come back. There is a ton of things to try that I cant wait for.

This is a family run operation which recently moved to this location after losing their lease at the last location which Ive been told was a very popular spot. Its a fairly small restaurant but not that small. Great selection of tap and bottled beer for a BBQ restaurant. Their cocktails are nice too. We had the St. Louis ribs which were fantastic. Plenty of side dishes to choose from. The collard greens were great as were the sweet potato fries. Prices were very reasonable and the staff friendly so if youre looking for anew spot to try, check it out.

Was so happy with our experience here. Awesome beer selection and very helpful, friendly staff! We had the pulled chicken platter, collard greens and potato salad, as well as the pulled pork, with homemade chips (wow) and it was all truly great!!! I love me some barbecue and this place delivered! Delicious corn bread too.

The place was great, food was delicious, service awesome, ambience as far as decor was not the problem. The music needs to change....something more upbeat perhaps that makes me want to stay and have another beer or two. Other than that, great local spot.
