Wow this joint is definitely worth visiting. The food is so dang delicious that I am still thinking about it and drooling over going back and sinking my teeth into their offered meats. We parked in the lot and went inside the little house looking place, went up to the small window and ordered our food. The staff were friendly and so happy. There must be something joyful about providing delicious food to tourists and locals hah. You order the food and you have to tell them if youre looking to sit outside or in that little dining area. FYI theres no running toilet in this place. Its probably best to go do your business elsewhere, but there are portapotties that are supremely clean and hygienic that you wont feel gross eating your your hands. Believe me, youll need your hands and be able to lick all the flavor off them. Make sure you dont bite your fingers too when you have their special BBQ sauce on them.. We ordered brisket and it was amazing. It was buttery and just right enough meat cooked to perfection. I thought I wouldnt be full so I ordered more brisket and some chili fries. The chili fries were awesome because you have real pieces of meat in it. The ribs were also tasty, but i liked the brisket more. The Mac and cheese is only ok but I definitely recommend the mashed potatoes. They are fluffy and topped with the delicious meaty tasting gravy sauce. I wish we had this kind of food in NYC. None of the meats or sides were dry and they were all so flavorful, they are not greedy with their spices. When we were sitting outside, there was also a bike gang that came by and basically took over the place. Hah! I love it. You wouldnt have that happen in Manhattan. definitely come here, if youre in the area!!!!!!! Its def a game changer in BBQ.

I have had BBQ in many parts of the country, and I have to say this is some of the best Ive had. Owned and operated by a couple of Lone Star State transplants, this place isnt "good bbq for the NY area", but rather "good bbq for Texas". Keep in mind, this is Texas style bbq. Not a lot of sauce, primarily dry rub. However, they have bottles of killer homemade bbq sauce on the tables so if thats your thing they have you covered. The marbled brisket is my favorite, but I have never been disappointed with anything Ive gotten there. Interestingly though, they dont do pulled pork. But, honestly, considering they do ribs, dino ribs, 2 kinds of brisket, chicken, pulled chicken, homemade sausage, and many, many other homemade creations and sides, you wont miss it. Also, hoping the owners may read this one day, they *need* to work a deal out with the Moo Moo Creamery in downtown Cold Spring to open up a satellite ice cream parlor in the small vacant bldg in the front of this place. I cannot think of a better combination. Best ice cream and the best bbq around on the same lot? YES.

On a cold, rainy September Friday we battled the NYC traffic as we embarked on our journey to a bachelor party destroyed by rain before it started. Not to mention none of us really like the bachelor that much. Traveling along a dark highway we were in desperate need of a layover. We had no idea what we was in store next. As we perused on google with one word "restaurant" what we got was so much more -Round Up Texas BBQ & Tumbleweed Saloon was more than we could have ever imagined. With 4.8 stars amongst many great reviews, we were intrigued. "I have had BBQ in many parts of the US and this was the best". "The food is so dang delicious". We thought could it be, could this be what are dreams are made of? We followed the winding road to the beautiful Texas BBQ sign and into the oasis. We tried it all - briscuit, ribs, mac and cheese, cornbread, etc - and boy were we pleased! Each delicious in its own right - spices and sauce on fleek! Best BBQ weve had in NY! We cant wait to see the smoker next time and would give 6 stars if we could.

After coming here on about 10 occasions, I think its time to share my thoughts. Bill and Linda are wonderful people who serve up top shelf, authentic Texas BBQ. The marbled brisket is so perfectly prepared, Id swear I was down south. Everything else is fantastic as well (my other favorite is the spicy sausage) but true fans know you measure a BBQ joint by the quality of their brisket, and it has blown me away every time. Spread the word and support this local business that makes you feel like home! EDIT: OMG, you have to try the Dino Rib. Order one and share it with your friends; it falls right off the bone. Also the brisket dog is pretty amazing as well. And the fried okra. Everything is great here!

Bought the sampler, which came with Chicken, Brisket, choice of Sausage, and Ribs. Also included Jalapeno Mac and Cheese, as well as Potato Salad and Cole Slaw along with a piece of Corn Bread. The Brisket was absolutely the best meat on the menu, the side were good, the Corn Bread delicious (moist). BBQ sauce was tasty, have had better, but all of the food was legitimately barbequed, would recommend. Small spot, roughly 6-8 picnic tables indoors, all well equipped with sauces napkins and paper towels. Went late night near closing, lot of couples.

My god what an amazing experience. The brisket is to die for, ribs are outstanding, the sausages are very tasty, chicken is delicious and they make wonderful sides (the jalapeño macaroni n cheese is especially great). I would like to add that the best item on the menu is the short ribs (Dino bone). It is absolutely outstanding, the most amazing tender meat. This is the bbq joint you dream about, the one you wish you could find near you when you crave bbq. I recommend everyone try this place, the location and ambiance only add to the experience.

Okay BBQ spot... only one type of bbq sauce to choose from .. baked beans were more like chili beans .. brisket sandwhich was okay better than some but not "out if this world" a little oversmoked and a little dry but still pretty good nice and tender with good flavor.. traditional texas style brisket sandwhiches are served with raw onion and pickles and they didnt serve it like that .. coleslaw was nice and cold and crunchy not too much sauce pretty good .... this is a great spot for people who just like the texas style/bbq atmosphere

Wow, Texas style barbecue in the Poughkeepsie/Fishkill area of New York. This little place is located on route 9 - the main road right through the town and is in a old building set back off the road. You go in and order at the window. Then you can go out to the picnic tables under the tent and enjoy some of the best barbecue this side of Texas. The brisket and ribs are really well prepared. I wish we could go back and sample some of the other meats but we had to move on.

I travel extensively and have made pilgrimages to legendary BBQ Joints around the country. Memphis, Houston, KC etc. Being about 75 miles from my home I accidentally happened upon it by chance. Im glad I did. As this place, easily places in my TOP 5 ! Add the rustic ambiance, great staff with a great backstory of its owners? Even If you have just a moderate liking of BBQ? YOU MUST put this place on your MUST LIST LOL You wont regret it. Enjoy
