5 stars in the category of Korean BBQ buffet in NJ. You wont find anything like this here. They changed the name from Picnic Garden, but the food is still amazing and abundant and the staff is friendly and helpful. The meats are abundant and you grill them yourself at your table. There are many other dishes as well, soups and a small amount of fresh fruits. The staff will come by and assist you with the grill when they see you need assistance cutting pieces smaller with scissors and swapping out the grill surface when it gets too carmelized from the marinades. Bonus if you come here for a birthday with 2 people or more and the birthday person eats free! Theres pork and beef Bulgogi, pork belly, kalbi (short ribs), shrimp, squid, octopus to name a few. The marinades are great, but theres also a few sauces to choose from. The Kimchi is good but I like mine sharper and spicier. They also provide romaine lettuce leaves to make yourself a Korean grilled meat wrap, I suggest the red pepper paste and garlic paste, make sure to fill a few small bowls provided towards the soup area for dipping. The hot foods are limited but tasty: really good Korean style chicken wings, scallion pancakes and some noodle dishes and a few others here, make sure to try the salad, Kimchi and others. Id recommend this place to anyone new to Korean food who wants to try different dishes with a DIY twist.

Wow this place is HUGE. Its so much cleaner and brighter than the flushing location and I love that theres so much space! WOO!!! We came on a late Monday night and it was so dang empty, they whole place was ours....place and all the food left out on the buffet table. Im more surprised at all the options of rice, soup, cooked food as well as the regular choices of meats.... and even ice cream?! I was sad that we didnt have enough time to eat the ice cream, since they were closing haha. We felt bad that we were making the staff wait until we finished eating. Im glad they werent being douchey about us -- we can only eat that fast without choking and dying in your restaurant. Im sure youd rather us not die in your area of responsibility. So THANKS! We appreciated you... and the awesome food! We left full and pleased.

So Good. All meat is at the buffet bar, you grab what you want, cook it table-side, and enjoy with large groups of friends. Cost is similar if not less to what youd pay at a sit-down Korean restaurant, but the advantage here is that you get variety of meats (ie. Youre not restricted to purchasing large plates of one type of meat, but everyone can get the meat they like most and cook it at their discretion). Plenty of parking. Take your jacket or sweater off and leave it in the car before going in, because whatever you wear will smell like Korean BBQ.

We went to this Picnic Garden thinking it would be the same wonderful experience we always have in the Edison location. We were dead wrong - the floors are perpetually greasy, the japchae looked more like soup for some reason with it resting in a pool of liquid, and they only let you order ice cream when in Edison you are free to get your own and however much of it you want.

Food is good, just not to our liking. I took my wife to there for lunch service on a Saturday. The floor is so greasy, it is slippery. Not kidding, this is the first restaurant that we went home and washed the bottom of our shoes.

Loved it!! Staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. We brought our own bottle (it said byob online) the waitress said it wasnt byob but allowed us anyway. The meat selection is great and plentiful. Id recommend it to anyone!

Formerly Picnic Garden, you cant beat the prices here for KBBQ. There may be other restaurants in the area with better specialties, but you cant beat the cost effectiveness of Mr. BBQ. Grab a beer and some soju and relax.
