They are cheater . I bought 27 dollars worth food and paid 31 dollars including 4 dollars tips by my debit card.When I went back home and i didnt check my bank statement for next 2 weeks . Usually its never happened with me another Indian restaurent . But when I did check I saw they charged me 60 dollars . I believe they did it on purpose . Because I wrote down the Amout ,tips and total very clearly . They tried to be smart and also happenedwith one of my friend too who live in Washington state.They also over charged him too . Because he lives far away from NY . When i saw over charged me I called them and let them know and they refunded me . I went Saturday to their restaurent . I am telling customers , very careful with this restaurent owners or mangers or whatever . They are very cunning ,dis honest and slick people . Want to be rich with dishonest way .i am sure they do this crap intentially . Always careful and check what you got and how much they charge you . They always over charge .dont get cheated from these greedy people . I will never go back there and strongly recommend everybody not to go there .

I live right in the neigborhood where this restaurant is located. There are many more restaurants of its kind further up in the 170s. Taj Mahal beats them all by far. It is clean, well staffed and the food is as real and as authentic and as delicious as it can get. Plus it is quite inexpensive! I am a vegetarian latinamerican guy who has traveled trough Asia quite extensively, including the Sub-continent . I have many vegetarian buddies from many countries in the world who also live in and/or visit my neighborhood and we love going to Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is not a vegetarian restaurant but they have a very good selection, options and variety to keep me and my buddies coming back week after week.

Horrible experience time after time! I have ordered from Taj Mahal numerous times simply asking for potato naan and they continue to give me the wrong order whether it be pick up delivery or ordering in store. Tonight however I went to the store ordered my food waited 10 minutes for my order went home to only find that my order was yet again incorrect. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager he insured me hell send over the correct order it took almost an hour to get to my house which is only five minutes away. And its not to say that this restaurant is the best Indian food is mediocre at best. If youre looking for good service dont waste your time!

We went because we were craving soup due to this unpredictable weather we are having in New York City. Its June and currently we are having low 50s for night time. I mean my house hearing system came on, so I decided why not go for soup and drums of heaven ... The restaurant is nice and service is quiet good but their Thai Tom Yum soup was quiet horrible and Drums of heaven was good but not great ... Last but not least I tried their Thai Ice Tea, which was pretty good ... I am told its home made and fresh ... I liked it and would recommend anyone that enjoys Thai Ice Tea should try it here.

Great food. I ordered a small container of the creamed spinach (saag) along with the okra and a dal puri. YUMMY! The food tasted as if it were made in someones kitchen. I could literally taste the spices rolling in an around the food. The puri was a little greasy but I believe the dal inside cancelled out the grease (lol). Definitely a place to stop in an grab something fresh. The bathroom was clean and yes it was unisex. Not a bad place if I must say so for good cheap, Indian food.

So my dad and I used to go to this place often but we have stopped because the customer service is absolutely terrible. Last night (7/3/2015) we went there for dinner and asked for a bowl of yoghurt on the side. We have eaten there many times before and they have given us yoghurt in the past but this time they said they never serve it on the side and were extremely rude. I will avoid this place now. Also their food is sometimes undercooked which is a health hazard.

Went to Taj Mahal (Not chinese) yesterday. Worst experience EVER! They refuse to give you plastic plates and instead give you broken, disgusting, old, and constantly used plates. Not only that, I found a hair in the beef curry that I had. Did not touch any other food I ordered after that. Money was wasted of course. The servers are super rude. I would give their food a 1 star rating and definitely a zero star if I could for their service.

Ive held 2 parties in their hall and the food was pretty good during the first party in 2009, but since then their food quality has diminished. I held another party last year thinking the food will be the same, but it sucked. The atmosphere is good. The service is great, but I wish they would do something to maintain their food quality. I mean, food should be a priority at a restaurant, right?

Horrible Food in the Taj Mahal Chinese Restaurant. Servers (two girls) - no courtesy at all. I went today after bad experience a year ago, still no improvement. Food is bad - Fried Rice, Manchurian - bad tasting food. If they want to compete with Sagar Chinese in Jamaica, they need to change the Chef, and servers need to learn to courteous and more knowledgeable on the menu. One Star rating.

Me and my family go here to eat often as we live close by. Recently they increased the food price and started charging tax. Not only that, nowadays they started charging service fee. Nothing of these were before. We only go here because the food is cheap and good. But I guess my family has to find a new restaurant to eat because of the increasing prices.

Please dont go to this restaurant ever. Order catered food for my sons 2nd bday party. Naans which we ordered were Uncooked and the veg Biryani we ordered had small stones in the rice, and even the chicken biryani we ordered was not even properly cooked and gave Ranch as Raitha. Completely disappointed with the quality we got from this restaurant.

First time at Taj Mahal and here for a GOOGLE GUIDES Meet-up.Nice, quiet and busy. We sat at the table by the window, all 4 of us, and all from very diverse backgrounds. They provided a pot of tea and just let us do our google guides things.There was a constant in and out of patrons, so I suspect they do quite a bit of take out.

Worst place to dine. The waitress was very nice. But the mannager was yelling at her at treating her like garbage. Right in front of us. I felt very uncomfortable Ive Been there 3 times and this always happens. Wont be going back there. But job well done by the waitress for working in a harsh environment like that.

A restaurant and party center owned by Bangladeshi owner having Bangladeshi, Indian & Chinese food available with a great price. They have catering services too for the parties. The party hall is in the basement and its really specious and cozy. Their food quality is good and price is awesome for parties.
