I would give Kurry Qulture more than 5 stars if that was an option. Having tried many indian restaurants in Astoria over the past 20 years, I was always left feeling like I had eaten heavy and oily foods. That changed with my meal tonight at Kurry Qulture. The Tandoori Mushrooms were prepared very nicely with interesting spices and sauce. I did not think mushrooms could taste that good. Chicken Korma - the chicken was buttery soft and almost melted in my mouth. The sauce was mild in terms of spiciness and extremely flavorful. Plain Naan - nice portion with 4 pieces, enough for 2 hungry adults. Other details of our experience: our waiter, server and the restaurant owner were all extremely professional and courteous. The interior design of the restaurant was spectacular and unlike any other Indian restaurant I have been to in Astoria AND Manhattan. The restroom was a bit too dark for my taste and there could be a hook or somewhere to hang my purse. Indian music played through speakers built into the ceiling and was soft though perceptible, which contributed nicely to the atmosphere without interfering with our conversation at the table. Beautiful canvas prints decorated one side of the restaurant wall. I left Kurry Qulture satisfied and excited at the thought of having a new favorite in Astoria, being a picky eater myself. In fact, its as good if not better than my favorite Indian restaurant in Manhattan (east village). I no longer have to go to Manhattan for excellent Indian food. Thank you for bring GREAT and FRESH Indian food to Astoria! I look forward to returning to Kurry Qulture and sharing my experience with my friends and family.

Finally a cool and upscale Indian place in Astoria and LIC. Certainly delivers amazing dishes and an impressive dining experience. The ambiance is fantastic, great for groups or dates, and the service is top notch. There arent really any bad choices on the menu, but standouts are Manchurian cauliflower as an appetizer and Rogan josh - an amazing lamb shank. Dont forget to try a cocktail or two from the list. "Ready to rumble" will undoubtedly make your evening even better. Of course, finish it with a dessert. Date milk rice pudding and Apple pumpkin halwa were both outstanding. So dinner for prix fixe of $33 (appetizer, main course, dessert) at this great place is a steal.

Good atmosphere, especially love the small viewing garden in the back. Service was friendly, a bit overbearing (typical for upscale Indian restaurants). However, the food and beverages were not enjoyable. The alcoholic drinks were not tasty, not well balanced and one just tasted like rubbing alcohol. The mango lassi was good. The food was generally well prepared, but insanely over-spicy. Every dish, including the sides were all inedibly spicy. Oddly the waiter warned us away from certain other dishes because we had kids with us, because those dishes were "too spicy" and we specifically only ordered dishes that he told us were not spicy. We wont be back.

This place is Amazing! Their great and unique cocktails are not only the tastiest drinks Ive had, but also serve as detox for your body! Whats better then that?!!! Liquor and a body cleanse? Yes please!!!:)) Bo, is an amazing gentleman who runs the establishment and treats every customer like family! Between the unique, tasty and creative menu, the amazing flavorful drinks and the beautiful venue I would say this place equals the perfect place in Astoria!

Excellent....both the food and the friendly and attentive service. The cocktails, especially the Hex Mex, were great. As was the naan. I had the cauliflower and spicy scallops, and loved both. Sampled the lentils and pea soup. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed the desserts, particularly the rice pudding. This is a new go to spot for me in Astoria, looking forward to going back. Oh, and I loved the music as well!

Top-notch service in a relaxed but upscale setting of low lights, circular doorways and light background music. We started with a side of garlicky naan and fried, shredded okra. The tinda masala (apple gourd with spices) was especially flavourful. The meals do not include rice, so choose from plain to flavoured with mint, lemon or tomato. I recommend the basic basmati.

Up scale Indian dining experience for a very reasonable price with elegant ambience and good background bollywood music. Dinner starts with complementary hot lentil soup. Good appetizers and a wide choice of veg as well non veg curry options. We really liked Tandoori mushrooms in appetizers and phool makhane (a lotus puffs curry) in entree.

Ive dined in and ordered delivery and the quality of their food is untouched in the City and esp in Astoria. The owner is a kind and knowledgeable fellow who told me all about the dishes and the restaurant. I had the green curry dish (cant recall the name) and the goat. WOW. What a pleasure!
