This place has the worst food ever. We ordered a lot of food. They didnt have half of their menu available. The steak was dry inside out like it was kept frozen then cooked again. They took an hour to serve us food and we thought it would be worth the wait but it was the worst experience ever. The server named Bunty or whatever his name was crossing his limits and throwing very rude comments. He acted like no one has ever given a big order for dinner. He threw several comments like are you sure you want to order this much food. I asked him about the drinks he had no clue what he was talking about and top of that he told me himself we are training one of the members how to make drinks like thanx for letting me know ill just have water. After getting all the order he laughs out loudly and says "if you order anything else after this.... then he laughed". He goes like i am sure you will have to pack up a lot of food and i will not do it. No ever ever asked him to pack anything in the first place. If 8 people come for dinner of course there would be a big order. This place needs to change their front crew and also chefs. Or simply close this place down. Dont ever deserve a one star.

I have dined here with small and large groups on many occasions. Service is impeccable. Cuisine is delicious and delectable - you can sense the fresh ingredients and many good twists to Bengali-Indian authentic cuisines. My favorites are the goat biryani, salmon with yellow rice, jhal muri, spicy salad, and onion kulcha. Dont forget the non-alcoholic drinks!! Ambience is nice. Finally, there is a nice Desi-fusion restaurant in Jamaica that I can take clients to and have meetings.

I wanted to visit "Mirch" since I heard about it because it serves "Halal" American food besides Desi food. So I decided to bring my whole family over. I must say nice décor, good American food but Desi food was just so so! The most annoying thing to me was when I received the bill I was hammered with 18% "Service Charge"! Hey I dont mind tipping and I love to pay 20% when I get the good service but it should be my discretion.

The food was exquisite, the people working there are amazing. The only issue I had was with their menus we did not what was coming with the entree therefore we ordered more naans, and a plate of Biryani. If we knew that some of the entrees were coming with rice/naan we wouldnt have ordered more. Other than that everything else was fine, please fix your menus and add whats coming with the dishes. THANK YOU

They have the best lamb chops ever, its really really good and south indian style mash potato compliments the lamb chops really good. The service is awesome and the owners are really friendly, down to earth and hard working. Environment is good and have that soothing feelings. They have lot of new things to offer such as their drinks are ummmm, so refreshing specially Acai Pome Blue Mojito.

Hard to find a parking near by, The food was okay but a bit overpriced. Got completely disappointed when they charged $8 bar fee for my two $3 mango juice. what they never explained before the final bill. Also on the top of that, charged 18% service fee, and finally when paid by card, the signing paper also asking the gratuity. Not going back again....

The presentation of the dishes are 5 star. The restaurant is very clean. Service.was really good. Their burgers are good. On the negative side, the desi dishes are really posh but just doesnt taste as good as a real desi restaurant. The lamb chop is plain so are the tandoori chicken. Its not grilled in a tandoor. Its missing certain spices.

The foods ok. This place is a try hard, went twice and it feels like theyre running a restaurant for the first time. Theres employees yelling at each other in the back. I paid for a togo order and another person came running after me asking if I paid. They forgot to put the ingredients listed on the menu for a burger on my burger. Twice.

We have been here several times already. Food is consistently good. Prices are decent. In my opinion appetizer menu items need a lot more variety. Service is very polite and courteous, but it seems like they are very inexperienced. Sometimes it takes way too long to have server come over and take the order or bring out a check...

Mirch is a good place considering the price and the fact that the meat is halal. They have wide range of sandwiches, Burgers and Steaks. I have tried the Fat burger and it was really good. I have also tried their mutton Biriyani and the portion and taste was really good. I would recommend it to my friends and families.

Nice small reastaurant with plenty of seating. I order the Ceaser salad very basic, the burger was very dried like the fries. If your really hungry, its like being in the middle of the dessert and you have this only place to eat, then I would recommended it. The price is above average, the service was very good

I ate at this restaurant a few times. The prices are a little high, but I like their food and the presentation is classy when you compare it to the rest of the restaurants around the neighborhood. Its a good place for having a nice dinner. That setting is kind of formal.

This place is awesome every time I visit.. I dropped my engagement ring here and didnt realize until I got home.. I thought for sure it was lost.. When I called them they said they had found it while cleaning up.. Amazing food and service, and honest. Love this place.

The food was as good as it can get when it comes to Bengali indo/pak style of cuisine. Great atmosphere, allows you to escape in a chic eclectic styled interior. Customer service is superb. A bit pricy for the location but I personally think the prices are justified.

Horribly overpriced. Food is nothing special: not nearly spicy enough, and portions are tiny. Save your money and go elsewhere. This is Hillside Avenue, there are no shortage of Bangladeshi-owned Indian restaurants that serve better food at a fraction of the price.

Best halal burger in NYC, on par even better than Tall Grass or Honest Burger in the city. The goat biryani is a hit and miss; but the days it is done right...the best Biryani i have had across the globe (NY, London, Hyderabad, Bangalore & Dhaka)

Great place to eat for Desi and American halal food. The choice of menu is different. The restaurant is clean and staff was courteous. Would definitely visit them again. There are lot of other dishes which I want to try but one visit at a time.

Despite the Ramadan Iftar rush, they were on top of things and maintained a customer friendly attitude. However if going during Ramadan, you should reserve in advance if the family is with you . The food is good but their restaurant is small.
