My wife and I went to this local joint in Verona on that casual Wednesday night just looking for some Thai food. We went into this place after looking at great yelp review and we were definitely not disappointed. I ordered Aroy D fried rice with beef, and my wife ordered the shrimp pad thai. The fried rice brought me back to a tiny Thai restaurant in Philippines that I used to go back to all the time when I was still in college.This is the ONLY Thai restaurant in the US so far that tastes like how Southeast Asian/Thai fried rice should taste like. The pad thai was delicious and does not taste like the regular pad thai in almost all of of "Thai" places where it just tastes like rice noodles drenched in overly sweet and sour,one dimensional,tamarind sauce. Its a perfect balance of savory flavors one would expect in excellent, proper Thai cooking without having to hide in a ton of ground peanuts.I would definitely go back there again. ;)

Ive been going to this restaurant since it opened. It used to be a food truck around hoboken (which still exists I believe) and they recently opened this site. The food is delicious. I dont think you can go wrong with any dish, and if you eat in during lunch they may even give you a house salad with the lunch specials. I wish they included that for takeout orders as well. All the entrees are amazing, including drunken noodles, thai basil with chicken, and massaman curry! I think this place isnt very well known since its new but Ive taken a few friends and coworkers there and they all loved their meals. If you get to eat in during lunch, go with their lunch specials and they may give you a salad to start (at least last few times i ate during lunch they did). Highly recommend this place!!

Flavorful and fast, everything Ive ever had at The Thai Elephant has been top-notch. All of the entrees are filling, packed with obviously fresh ingredients, and spiced precisely to order. The green curry is easily my favorite, creamy and delicately balanced. Reasonably priced, two of us typically dine for around $35.

Very good restaurant with very friendly people. We chose Double dare spicy level and was really spicy. I would prefer Dare for the next time. The staffs gave us free Thai Ice tea to lower the spice level. Would recommend to everyone and will surely be back.

Have been there casulay when went to Verona Park. Food was just awesome. Went in a group of 7 people every th8ng ordered and served we appriciated by everyone. The staff were courtious and served food with all grace. Loved to be in the resturant.
