Pleasant Surprise! and BYOB! My friend and I were looking for a sit-down, BYOB, Chinese restaurant and came across Hunan Delight. We didnt fall for the trap of ordering the same old dishes you find at take-out Chinese stores, like Sesame Chicken or Sweet and Sour Chicken. We asked the waiter what he recommended or what the special of the day was. He recommended "wedding shrimp" and a beef dish. Both were excellent choices! The beef was savory and tender while the shrimp in a creamy sauce with candied walnuts was delicious! The dishes were not greasy and while the sauce was light, it was tasty and seasoned perfectly. Best of all, we walked out of there not feeling bloated or disgusted as you normally feel after eating the usual take-out chinese food. It was a great experience and am eager to return to find out what other dishes to try next!!!

It started out fantastic. New owners, all about quality - the food was great! Then it was like a light switch. Stale chips, grainy mei fun as if it wasnt washed properly. Under seasoned. The wonton soup became oily and more salty than usual. Thought it was a fluke, but now, time and time again it just stays bad. Maybe they need to sell, again. New cook or something. The place is a ghost town during peek times. Anymore not so great food and well be searching for a new spot. They are kind of a dime a dozen anyway. Just be wary of spending your dime here unless things get better.

A friend and I were at an event in the area and wanted a quick, filling, cheap dinner after a several hour drive. We ended up choosing this place at random. My dining companion chose only a main dish (Sweat and Sour Chicken) and was disappointed. I got a small entrée, along with soup and dumplings. Both the soup and dumplings were above average, but my dish (Sesame Chicken) was poor as well. The chicken was not great quality, the sauce was watery, and the veggies were limp. Stick with the reasonably priced soups and appetizers and skip anything chicken, and you should be fine.

Very rude management! I walked in with my children to have a late lunch after a hike and the manager just yelled out "THIS IS NOT A BUFFET!". Im not sure why he feels that a woman that walks in with her children are automatically looking for a buffet. When I asked to speak to someone else to tell about the other guys rudeness the next gentleman was just as rude. They should not be in somerset if they do not want to serve a diverse community. I guess their new decor warrants just certain people with certain looks.

I used to go there a lot when it was hunan delight and give a good tip! But now the waiters are terrible. i asked for my crispy noodles and they gave me a dirty look so i was not happy so i gave a dollar tip and we where about to leave and they chased us down and said mandatory tip 15% i was not pleased with them. And i said yes i gave one dollar tip and they replied "ONLY ONE DOLLAR!" with a weird look face and last time there! Bye ps: I miss hunan delight!

Weve been coming here for so many years. Loved when it was hunan delight and their service was great. Now the name, management and the way the food is made has changed. And not for the better. Was just there today and the service was absolutely terrible. It took 15 minutes for someone to take our order and another 20 to get our food. and then the general tsos chicken wasnt even good. What general tsos has orange sauce? Ugh I miss hunan!

Horrible customer service. I tried to also order for delivery and the person on the phone was most concerned if I was ordering more than $15 worth, which I was. Hung up on me, then as I started to finish my order when I called back he asked if I could pick it up. Sure they may have been busy, but theres a way to communicate that. I would never order from them. Too many options to go elsewhere!

I have been coming to this place for the past 10 years and I just couldnt get enough of how amazing their chicken wings were but I just went there today and they changed how they make the wings and it is just horrible now. I am so disappointed I will not be coming back here until they change the chicken wings back to the way it was the past 10 years.

This place is good. Reasonable price and everything. But I wish they use little bit less oil. Ive been in China for 7 years, so I know Chinese food are oily, but you guys kind of have overflowing oil soup on few dishes I ordered. Other than that it is good. I hope I can see improvements next time I order.

This is the best Chinese food in Franklin. I didnt grow up there so Im not as obsessed with MeiMeis as everyone else is. I would put this head to head with KamLoung as well. Only issue is their to go containers tend to leak...annoying.

They said 20 minutes-20 minutes it was. The delivery guy came in the pouring rain! Hes the real MVP. The food is delicious and no bloated feelings like the other chinese food places. 10/10 would do again.

This place is great..fast...tasty..and always reliable service. Either take-out or eat-in you always get a good value for your $$. Decorations are out dated but otherwise no complaints.

The food is disgusting do not buy from here the ribs tasted like they opened the cheapest jar of bbq sauce and poured it over the cooked ribs... better to go to Mei Mei on Hamilton st!

Not sure why this place has such good reviews. Its decent but not outstanding by any means. Its not the worst Ive ever had, but certainly not the best. Would give 3.5 stars if I could.
